Bayfox Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Ask me again after Saturday. If we string 3 wins together I can see us making it 4 against burnley. If we **** up at home. There will be so much riding on burnley.
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 50-50 to quite good. We haven't done well enough against the teams around us this season, Hull being the only team we've beaten, but we seem to be hitting form at the right time. We were somewhat unfortunate not to get a point at Spurs, and fully deserved our wins against Wham and WBA, so this run-in looks a bit more positive. We need to keep pushing on and carry on going out to win - if we do, we stay up.
1993fox Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Anyone who vote either the top or bottom options should be shot. **** off psychopath.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 The bookies have us more or less at evens now so you'd think 50/50 then is about right.
Unabomber Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 50/50 we either do it or we don't but personally I think we will do it 100% so I guess I'm at 150% which seems high but my maths is weak so dunno.
bovril Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 I know we've been saying this about every game but Swansea is massive. Biggest game we've had for a decade. Chelsea and Burnley will be very tough games, I reckon we might only get 1 point from those 2, so really we need to beat the Swans.
Sir Fynwy Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Easiest run in? you know we are already down [emoji6]

Unabomber Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Yes correct thanks man nothing like being reassured on a maths prob when you are doubting yourself.
Guest ttfn Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Reckon we're about 30% to stay up. We've got a respectable chance now but we're a fair way behind still. If we get 5 points from the next 3 games I reckon we'll be ok

We have given ourselves a small amount of breathing space. The key ones really are the games against teams around us. QPR we simply have to beat because we are at home. And we need to not lose at Sunderland and Burnley. If we can do that, we would be well placed provided we can nick a point or two from the Swansea, Newcastle, Chelsea and Southampton games.
Renart Posted 12 April 2015 Author Posted 12 April 2015 Just out of interest this is what the QPR fans at WeAreTheRangersBoys think about their team's chances of survival with five games remaining: It is quite small, unless you click on it

If we fail to beat Swansea we put ourselves under a huge amount of pressure to get a win from the next two very difficult fixtures. I'll be disappointed with anything less than 3 points next week.
AyewJoking Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 we are back in the race. i certainly didnt expect 6 points from the last 2 games and even though were still 3 points from 17th place we are now in a position to climb out but more importantly, the confidence and belief in our style of play could carry us through. at the very least were finally putting up a fight like so many on here have asked for, myself included.
ScouseFox Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 betfair's implied chance graph has us @ 51% chance of going down. so pretty fvcking 50/50 ain't it. for comparison; qpr - 80% burnley - 60% sunderland - 45% hull - 45% and they effectively make it 5 into 3 places, as the next best is villa and west brom at about 5% each. although i guess you could say they make it 4 into 2, as their trends seem to have fully written off qpr.
bovril Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 I just want to fast forward to Saturday now. Can't take a week of going over every permutation in my head.
theessexfox Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Went for pretty slim due to how much we bottled Hull, Palace and games like Sunderland and West Brom at home.
Benguin Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 For me it's at the stage where if we don't stay up, we fully deserve to be in the championship. Hull and Sunderland will almost definitely end with a maximum of 34 points. I can't see how they could get anymore. We need 3 wins and a point on top for good measure, Burnley Sunderland and QPR. We then have 4 games to try and make it easier of which 2 are very winnable and 1 is not hopeless. If we end with less than 35 points it is completely our fault. COME ON CITY
Monsell1976 Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 After two good results I have gone 50/50, left a lot to do. If we can keep this work rate and results up great, wouldn't have gone 50/50 3 weeks ago that's for sure.
Benguin Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Just to add....... Everyone thinks its now Sunderland vs QPR vs Burnley Vs Hull vs Leicester. West Brom have 33 points and look hard pressed to get anything more. We have 2 not 1 more game than both VILLA and QPR
Stevosevic Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Still got it all to do. We could go to shit again.
Number 6 Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 50% seems about right for us. Though think that we have a brilliant opportunity to increase those chances this weekend given the truncated fixture list. If we can win and Burnley and WBA lose then I think it really swings in our favour.
