ithuriel Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 50/50 as it stands in my opinion, if we beat Swansea or come away with at least a point then all the better. The big games are the 6 pointers, win them and we stay up.
bluesbrothers Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 After today, I'm convinced that if we show up in front of goal we might (and thats a big might) get something against Chelsea. Even a point against them would be massive. Likewise, anything but a defeat against Swansea next week and it's well and truly on.
Legend_in_blue Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 It might be possible to get something out of Chelsea based on what I saw of them today. They look pretty lightweight up front without Costa. Pack the midfield, keep it disciplined, chase them down and we might come away with a point. Even without a point I still reckon we'll pick up a minimum of 11 points imo.

WE R STAYIN UP noticed that. us dull and sland all about the same likelihood to fill that third berth.
Kitchandro Posted 12 April 2015 Posted 12 April 2015 Voted 50/50. It's now in our own hands, the fixture list has been kind enough to us. But I don't trust Pearson, a couple of hard fought wins don't change the fact he has severely handicapped our potential this season with his selections, tactics and his inability to organise us sufficiently enough to defend a set piece. At our best we can definitely win enough matches to stay up but you cannot rely on us to turn up and play. Swansea will be a more difficult match and we have to strike now while the iron's hot.
Captain... Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Whilst Chelsea looked vulnerable yesterday they still did enough to win, they have 2 massive games before they play us, best case scenario is they win them both and arsenal and Man united lose their other games then Chelsea will be champions by the time they play us and not care. That is unlikely worse case scenario is that Chelsea lose them both and are suddenly under real pressure at the top and come out and smash us. Either way it is a bonus game and anything from it will be amazing. Swansea I would take a draw, they are a really good side, although it looks like Gomis is injured so they will be relying on Emnes, but their class is in midfield, really tough game and a draw would be ok providing we beat Burnley defeat there and it will be very difficult to recover.
nnfox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 I think I am right in saying that if Chelsea win their next two games against Man U and Arsenal then their trip to the KP could be the clincher for them. Makes it a really tough game. Also, whilst I firmly believe our destiny is in our own hands, having done a bit of a trawl of some rivals forums, they all seem to think that their biggest game in their run in is against us. So out of there 6 games left, they have to get themselves prepared for one real make or break game. We have to do it 3 times which is another tough ask. We have given ourselves a chance and at this stage of the season the fans really need to get behind the team. Will we win all our remaining games? No. Will there be mistakes made? Will we go behind in games? Probably. The fans have to stay with the team now more than ever. WE CAN DO IT. COME ON LEICESTER!!
Callabinho Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Beat Swansea at the weekend and I'll say yes. We will survive.
ScouseFox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 paddy power now make us the 5th least likely team to go down. overestimating our ability? underestimating our opponents? fair?
Raw Dykes Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Everything's fifty-fifty, you either will or you won't. Seriously though we've got a kind set of fixtures, but still 3 points and 3 goals to make up on 17th. What are you talking about? Not everything is 50-50. Obviously. Some things are much more likely than other things. That's pretty basic. I think our chances of surviving are about 50-50, or a bit better, which is incredible really - if you had asked me a couple of games ago, I would have said we were dead certs for the drop. Now, we're only 3 points from safety, with a game in hand over all of our rivals and two in hand over two of them and a fixture list that really couldn't be any better. Other than the Chelsea and Soton matches, the fixture list looks like we wrote it - all either clubs looking forward to their summer holiday with nothing to play for, or big 6-pointers which gives us a big say in our own fate. As if that wasn't enough, 5 out of the 7 remaining are at home! We've also got some momentum, the team looks confident and we've got players like Vardy finding their form at last. I hate to get my hopes up. I never learn.
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 What are you talking about? Not everything is 50-50. Obviously. Some things are much more likely than other things. That's pretty basic. I thought it was pretty obvious from the 'seriously though' that I was making a flippant joke about probability, but ho hum. Can't say it's better than 50-50 though, at the moment I'd say it's about 40-45% - we've got the good run in and 2 games in hand over a few sides, but we're still 3 points and 3 goals behind, with those games in hand coming against the champions-elect and the only team to comprehensively outplay us this season (Swansea). I'm confident, and it's in our hands, but if I were a bookie I'd still have us at narrowly odds on to go down.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Definite 50/50 at the minute. The win against The Baggies was unexpected for me, so puts less pressure on this Swansea game where a point would potentially do if we could then go to Burnley and win the following week. If you gave me a winner takes all shoot out against QPR now I would snap your hand off.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Found form at the right time. 5 home games, some very winnable ones at that. Still entirely in our own hands.
Number 6 Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Those paddy odds are interesting given we were 1.83 before the QPR game yet have now leapfrogged Sunderland and Hull. Maybe they think QPR won't have anything to play for when we meet them on the final day.
Footballwipe Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Definitely 50-50 like everyone has said. We're essentially in jeopary season now. It's great that we have so many six pointers but it also means if we lose them we're finished. We won't beat Chelsea and I'm not so confident of beating Swansea (though I know I should be). Southampton I can see is losing too, though at this stage I'm expecting us to beat Newcastle. Beat the three teams around us and pick up another two/three points on top of that and we're safe. Unless the top teams capitulate then while we play jeopardy we have a massive advantage with all these teams playing multiple top sides in the run-in.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 As a result of the past two results, I have moved from zero, to pretty slim.
Vardinhio Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Pretty tough still, all points are hard to come by in this league.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Let's see how we cope with the pressure of being favourites at home, where we have been poor this season. let's see if we can break teams who come to defend down. That's the question mark for me.
suffolk fox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 The fact that we haven't been cut adrift and we do have five games left at home leaves me with optimism that our fate is in our own hands which is good news. To me, the fact we are now attacking teams cos we have to win shows me, if only we had done it more all season I believe we would be out of the bottom three already. We are now playing how we use to last season quick breaking attacking football West Brom couldn't handle us second half. Jermaine jenas summed it up for me on the radio on Saturday post match at West Brom whilst I was waiting to get out of the car park. He said, "leicester remind me lately of newcastle under keegan, the opposition score two leicester score three they have eight goals in their last three games that is why they may stay up. Earlier in the season we were showing too much respect to the opposition and setting up not to get beat too heavily. That is not the Leicester way? Setting up to contain the opposition is negative and we are no good at it i.e. Five at the back including a woeful, Upson and a still poor Morgan. Going all out for a win and attack you may score but we will score more attitude is the way to go. The last two performances give me hope we may still survive as long as Pearson doesn't resort to playing five at the back.
Monsell1976 Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 https://twitter.com/PPOffers/status/587561234234474496 paddy power now make us the 5th least likely team to go down. overestimating our ability? underestimating our opponents? fair? Bookies react to form, we have just won two, lose the next two, they will have us favourites to go down again.
Staffs Fox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 I'd say 50/50, we're more than capable but we've known that all season and look how that's gone, Our fixture list compared with that of Hull, Sunderland and QPR (not to mention the two games in hand) is extremely favourable however I remember after the United home game looking at our upcoming fixtures and thinking we should be top half come Xmas!! I genuinely think 12 points will be enough which is only 4 wins and 3 defeats. 4 wins in 7 (so 6 in 9) would be remarkable given our form pre-West Ham but our confidence has to be sky high and I thinks its a very real possibility,
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 The games against Swansea, Newcastle, Saints are going to be key as I think we'll cock up against those around us once or twice. If we take four points I am confident we will stay up. I think Burnley will beat us. I'd like to think we'd beat QPR, meaning Sunderland away is the game for me, absloutley no way Hull are going to put another 7 on the board (if they do fair play they deserve to stay up) assuming we beat QPR their not going to match our points tally, either if we manage the above. So dragging Sunderland into by beating them is paramount if you ask me.
