David Hankey Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 I know it's a little premature but if it comes off should the Club ditch the 'Post Horn Gallop' and replace it with the theme tune from 'The Great Escape'? It would be appropriate.
Babylon Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Didn't we used to play it at Filbo in the first season under O'Neill? Along with day dream believer (f' off Mark McGhee).
sylofox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 The post horn gallop is us or do you want to replace WYS with ynwa.
Renart Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 The Post Horn Gallop. Why don't you do a vote (I like votes)?
Danizen Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Leave The Great Escape to the fans (and players...) Keep The Post Horn Gallop but bin the second half version.
Footballwipe Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Let's get Birchenall back in his Churchill outfit and give us a rousing speech. An idea we can all agree on.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Yeah that's awesome! Let's replace one of our only actual pieces of club identity with the Great Escape. Not like we want to be taken seriously or anything....
Fox92 Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Post Horn Gallop not by that geezer though. Just play the old version. Nothing wrong with Great Escape after though, if everybody joined in with the "Leicester" bit.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Play the great escape after we win, instead of The bloody Farm which is depressing.
la domestique Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 You cannot get rid of the post horn gallop. Slot in great escape before the players come out.
Dan Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 PHG stays at all costs. I'd not argue with great escape at the start of the second half though. How that god-awful PHG remix we come out to is still polluting our ears in 2015 I have no idea.
ozleicester Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 PHG is Leicester, no-one else has it or even anythig like it. It should stay, it should be recognised and then followed up with WYS. The great escape is used when relevant as by all clubs. The Post Horn Gallop, live on the pitch... goosebumps
Captain... Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Great escape final whistle against QPR if we stay up, but not before we have escaped relegation.
1993fox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Great escape final whistle against QPR if we stay up, but not before we have escaped relegation. Finally, someone with sense. We're not done yet. We can still easily go down you. Little premature? Yeah you're about 6 weeks off David.
Voll Blau Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Last time we came out to the Great Escape in the second half, we went down. No ta. Sing it yourself.
sylofox Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Prety much up for anything to improve the atmosphere but would never sell our soul. Not even to stay up Blue n white post horn WYS City n Foxes are us. Filbo was only ever going to go but the rest never have to and never should. Rather us be on the parks than sell our soul.

ozleicester Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Peterborough have it as did Colchester once upon a time. cheers.. didnt know that
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 April 2015 Posted 13 April 2015 Didn't even know the tune at half time was a remix of the PHG! Shows how much they've butchered it I suppose. Don't know what motivates them to play it, is it inspiring? Uplifting? Exciting? Not at all. Sounds like something that ought to go with a slapstick sketch.
