Next season who would you like to see come in?

Rolando - Porto.

Has been out on loan again for the previous few months & barely played. Was Inter's best defender in 2013/14. 1 year left on deal & turns 30 in August. Fee requested may have dropped significantly. Top drawer when fit, hoping Cuchu might have passed his name on to NP. Would be a perfect fit as he excels in a back 3.

Probably take Matt Phillips and Charlie Austin from QPR (although I thought Austin looked a tad overweight yesterday?)

From Hull, maybe Dawson

Balàzs Dzsudzsák is available on a free transfer as Dyanmo Moscow aren't renewing his contract due to financial difficulties. Might be worth a punt, though I reckon we'd have stern competition from bigger sides. He plays LW.

Think I'd prefer relegation than signing elmohammady

The only players from the relegated sides that would make a real evident improvement to our side is Austin and Ings and the chances of us getting them are very, very slim.

I'd rather source out our own players rather than pick up the scraps from the relegated sides. Just because they are relegated doesn't meant we will get them cheap either. If we bid, then QPR, Burnley and Hull would likely hold us to ransom over fees to ease their passing into the championship. It's an over priced market for players who have failed to do this year what we, as an absolute bare minimum next season, will be looking do next season: survive.

Jordy Clasie would be a superb, if slightly unrealistic, signing.

Do you mean Clasie who is considered one of the best young midfielders in Europe?

I admire your optimism!

That would be a coup, I must admit.

Why could we not get Ings? Is he definitely going to Man Utd or somewhere?

He'd be a great signing.

I'd imagine we could present him with a decent contract, but he'd have offers from bigger clubs and a more lucrative salaries on the table at the same time. Not unrealistic in terms of us tempting the player as a suitor, rather we'd just be out muscled by his other admirers in my opinion.

Probs get laughed at but Charlie Adam from Stoke? Eye for a goal from midfield can pick out a pass from just about anywhere. if Huddlestone had that extra yard (or ten) of pace id take him

I said Charlie Adam and whilst the general consensus is he'd be a good signing, it's doubtful that Stoke would sell.

Adam - yes all day long but Stoke won't part

Austin - yeah that'd be great

Ings - absolutely

Dawson is a strange one, you see him put in an amazing tackles here and there that literally save matches but there is something with him that I can't decide on as I also see his bad days and think god no maybe big Nige could sort him out.

For me it depends on the budget - I think the likes of Lennon and Defoe could do a job but would prefer spending on players who have pace, technical skill, and work-rate from abroad who want to prove themselves in the Premier League.

There are a couple of Everton players I'd like to see here as well but there's no likely hood of that happening.

I'd like the Japanese lad - he looks a good fit from what I've seen and read.

I'd like a replacement/understudy for Lesterban

Another right and left pacey wingback to challenge Albrighton and Schlupp (I still think Mahrez sits behind the strikers in the floating Andy King role.)

A seasoned/experienced/proven defender that can play on the left side and that has a ridiculous physical presence.

Stoke won't sell Adam. They've had a brilliant season and he's instrumental to them scoring so many goals. Both by scoring himself and setting others up.

Like you, I doubt it.

Youssuf Mulumbu is available on a free, would add real depth to our midfield and I can't imagine he's on top dollar either.

10 million? If Cambiasso was 26 in this day and age he would be at least 25 million, probably more.

just no, we are in a slight dreamland atm regarding him. He's been important yes but so has the likes of Robert huth. Cambiasso in his prime was never worth 25 million either IMO, he's played well for us but I'd imagine we can find a midfielder for the price of 10 million who would do the same or if not better than Cambiasso has been this season.

His trophy cabinet suggests otherwise.

John obi mikel has a big trophy cabinet doesn't mean he's worth 25 million! Don't take it as a dig at Cambiasso, I'm just simply adding balance to this view of many who may be slightly overrating him that's all!

You are joking? I'd say £25m was pretty miserly. He was and is an exceptional player.

no in that time of the market I'd argue no one would have paid that sum of money for him, nowadays yes I agree someone would have paid that money in today's market. I don't think that's truly that controversial of an opinion if you've actually watched him, which I have been lucky enough to have.

I thought you meant he wouldn't be worth it if he was 26 and at his peak right now.

I've not heard anyone consider him one of the best young midfielders in Europe. He's good, but not that good.

Southampton and Newcastle are reportedly keen. If we want to progress to that next level then we should be able to compete with those clubs.
