Suffolk exile Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 that will go down........ http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/relegated-Premier-League-Reporters-covering/story-26367314-detail/story.html?ito=email_newsletter_leicestermercury Interesting??
Basingstoke Fox Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 How many threads do they usually need to start in Suffolk to get a point across?
Suffolk exile Posted 22 April 2015 Author Posted 22 April 2015 Ooops - yes. There have been some internet issues here........not unusual..........!
Grey Fox Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 It's interesting that none of them think the team they cover will actually go down. It shows how local bias affects people views. Including ours. P.S. I hate the Mercury website. It's that bad it makes you not want to open a link to it!
cc_star Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 Interesting that none of the reports from the other bottom 5 clubs thinks we'll go down, because really all we've done is give ourselves a chance (which was incredible), rather than actually accomplish what we need to

ousefox Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 Doesn't really say much. A lot can change in football - they would all have had us relegated a few weeks ago.
whitlock Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 Its all irrelevant what papers/pundits or bookies say. We need to gain points, just because we have won 3 in a row is meaningless to us staying up right now. It means we have a chance, technically, its still not in our own hands. Lots of minutes of football to be played, many more ups and downs to come. Burnley away is absolutely huge. Not just for us to stay up, but IMO to almost guarantee 1 relegation spot to be filled by Burnley. Negative result and we are slap bang right back in the middle of it.

Well technically it IS in our hands... Beat Sunderland and we go above them. We're already ahead of burnley and qpr so beat them and we're ahead of 3 teams. Match their results in the other fixtures and we're safe. And that's before you take into consideration matches between relegation battlers like the Burnley/Hull game, for instance...
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 I much prefer being written off. Now the bookies, the pundits, basically the entire world thinks we're already safe, and that doesn't sit well with me.

It certainly is, but it's also in their hands... if they win their games, they stop up
1993fox Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 It's not over yet. Little do you know that their local newspapers are being banter merchants. We're favourites for staying up now which also increases the chances of us slipping up. Don't be a sheep in the farm pal.
Rasmic123 Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 still 50/50 for me as to whether we stay up, lose to sunderland, burnley and qpr and were down
shailen Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 3 games ago a lot of them probably had us as dead certs. Therefore a lot can happen in the next 3 games. For all we know any one of the other teams will go win 3 on the trot. But with our fixtures and momentum, it's likely that we will be favourites.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 I much prefer being written off. Now the bookies, the pundits, basically the entire world thinks we're already safe, and that doesn't sit well with me. Agreed. We are screwed. The contrarian approach would be to say that when everyone believes one way, it's time to do the opposite. The financial move is therefore: Back us to get relegated (I do hope that doesn't happen).
HighPeakFox Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 I've done my bit - Heaton in goal for my FFL team
The Horse's Mouth Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 I'm beginning to get a little worried now tbh
MC Prussian Posted 22 April 2015 Posted 22 April 2015 Ahhh, don't you just love the absence of superstition in pre-match threads?
benpicko Posted 23 April 2015 Posted 23 April 2015 Serious Rachel Riley drought on these forums at the moment, not a good sign in the slightest
ozleicester Posted 23 April 2015 Posted 23 April 2015 I dont think our run in is as easy as many seem to think... At the beginning of the season i wouldve pencilled around 7 points from these games... only 7 Cmon yooo blooossssssssssss

This is the thing isnt it, any of the rest of the bottom 5 could easily get a run of 2/3 wins in a row.
Suffolk exile Posted 24 April 2015 Author Posted 24 April 2015 I am inclined to agree. I think 7 points will be enough. I certainly will be praying for more........
Soar Fox Posted 24 April 2015 Posted 24 April 2015 Serious Rachel Riley drought on these forums at the moment, not a good sign in the slightest What's all this Rachel Riley stuff about? I've saw a few things about her on here over the last week.
