Guest Bilo Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 I fear for us if we're genuinely without Huth, Schlupp, Nugent and King. They've all been absolutely instrumental to our recent success and losing all of them is a serious worry for Saturday. I sincerely hope the subs were precautionary ahead of more winnable fixtures to come.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 King looked pretty dejected walking off but Huth didn't seem to bad, hopefully he was precautionary. Schlupp is one we need back for Newcastle.
shailen Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Unfortunate injuries, but it's a risk we had to take today. No regrets. We were in the game till the 80th minute or so, then their class showed through.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Worse than the loss, I'd rather we hadn't play tonight. Huth, in particular, is very worrying. The streak is over, I can't help feeling this match has completely killed our momentum - hope we have enough to see off Newcastle and get back on track.....

If anything we showed we can match one of the best teams in Europe for 80 minutes. That will keep our confidence up, and if we lose on Saturday it won't have anything to do with momentum.

Not sure this is the game that's killed off our momentum. Had it been an absolutely limp defeat with no intent, possibly. I agree that Huth is the main one we need back, and soon.

The streak is over, I can't help feeling this match has completely killed our momentum - hope we have enough to see off Newcastle and get back on track..... The two injuries are just unfortunate though, it's not like Huth and King were on the list of players people wanted us to rest, so they would likely have started anyway. It was Cambiasso, Vardy, and Ulloa people seemed to feel looked knackered or were carrying knocks, and they lasted most of the game. We've just been unlucky tonight.
m4DD0gg Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Huth is a huge factor in this whole revival if he is a doubt it is very concerning....imagine if we had him all season and injury free.
Corky Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Huth is the biggest loss, King has been in good form but James came in and performed well, Huth is such a rock at the back for us. Reckon Nugent and Schlupp might be available.

Sunbury Fox Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Huth didn't look too bad when he went off so fingers crossed taking him off was precautionary.
elangLCFC Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Reckon Huth's was precautionary. The way King went down on his own and then James got ready to come on instantly suggests to me he must have been carrying a knock, which seems ridiculous to have played him mid-week vs Chelsea during a game in hand and risk injury. EDIT: The fact Schlupp's seems so hush hush suggests to me that it's quite bad and we're trying not to let anybody know.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Huth didn't look too bad when he went off so fingers crossed taking him off was precautionary. Yeah, that seems to be the consensus. If he's fit for Saturday along with Nugent and Schlupp, and possibly King, it could actually have been a judicious sub. Keeping everything crossed!
Harry - LCFC Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Worse than the loss, I'd rather we hadn't play tonight. Huth, in particular, is very worrying. The streak is over, I can't help feeling this match has completely killed our momentum - hope we have enough to see off Newcastle and get back on track..... Panic, panic, panic. We gave Chelsea a damn good game, if anything's going to kill our momentum it's over the top negativity.
Max Power Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 If Schlupp isn't back soon I'm worried. Huth as well, but Schlupp is key. I can't watch Konchesky anymore, I just can't. He is appalling.
stingray Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Konchesky 0/10 knackers yard, everything came down his side Morgan 2/10 v poor against quality. need a replacement for next season. team 7/10 did well considering
RedSoxUK Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 We have suitable replacements, even if Schlupp, Nugent, King, Vardy and Huth are out which i doubt, we can still take Newcastle down.
Raw Dykes Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 It is a bit worrying how the injuries are stacking up. It was a shame to see King and Huth come off so early. On the plus side, James and De Laet both played well. RDL was awesome, in fact. I wouldn't be nervous seeing him in a back three again. We'll just have to hope that the squad players step up and take their chance. You never know, some of these players might return at the right time and be well rested.
Foxes_Kieron Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Konchesky tonight showed Jeff is an absolute must for Saturday. Huth's looked more precautionary whereas Kingy looked pretty gutted as he left the field so probably a bit more than a knock
sdb Posted 29 April 2015 Posted 29 April 2015 Imagine it'd take a lot to make Huth walk. Reckon that's his season.
