I can't remember the last time we were linked with high profile names (not including Cambiasso) and having to think - you know what, he could actually sign for us. I agree that I love feeling optimistic about the majority of players we are being linked with but I hope Leicester fans don't get carried away & expect massive things next season. Keep the current squad, make some more solid signings & then aim for 14th - 10th spot & I will be happy!

Pearson knows the type of players who will fit in to the team and who wont, I actually bloody love the man for that. He clearly has targets whether that be set by the club or himself and I don't think our stubborn bastard is going anywhere! Marque signing we may see again, if his character fits in. Personally, I'd rather an unknown quantity tear the league up.

Let the rumour mongers have their bit of fame claiming they were 'iko' .I personally don't get so excited until they have signed on the dotted line. Having said that, as said above, I'm enjoying the linkage with players with Berbatovs background and pedigree.

You can discredit them when they come along if you want, but just because something is on Twitter it doesn't immediately make it (a) false or (b) any less of a rumour than something buried in the back pages of a tabloid rag. It's annoying having to check this thread for new names. I say do away with this thread (and stop chucking everything in here). Takes a lot of the fun out of the Transfer Talk section of the forum.

He's one of many faceless transfer accounts on Twitter who trade tweets with each other to grow their followers (*). No insight, just loads of guesswork, throw enough arrows and you hit the bullseye eventually. Just because he's got a fair whack of followers people assume they're well connected. Always treat Twitter blaggers like that with utmost caution. (*) I run a Twitter account (not football related) where I trade tweets with other similar accounts to help it grow. It's a sideline hobby if you like. Gone from 13k to 225k followers in about 20 months. I've learned a lot about how Twitter works through doing this. It's been eye opening at times.
