my gcse in spanish tells me this but I got no idea what it means

proposal at the front for red: ulloa is good striker for ranieri. works for other players, competes with okazaki, has a passport

wait I get it, la roja is the nickname for spanish national team, this guy reckons ulloa might get a call up

He's Argentinian.

Have absolutely no idea what this means, even the translation doesn't make any sense.

Guilleme is suggesting that Ulloa, who has a Spanish passport, and who has not played for Argentina could be available for selection for the Spanish national team.

It just says that the Leicester forward acts like a ram along with okazaki for us.

In my opinion this is total rubbish. But it's all opinions.

la Roja is also the nickname for the Chilean national team

According to his wiki.

'In late 2014, Ulloa accepted an offer from Chile national team manager Jorge Sampaoli to become naturalized and represent the country.'

I thought that Ulloa said he "didn't feel it" or whatever in concerns to playing for Chile. I swear there was a video or article with Ulloa saying that.

Tbf I didn't realise he was offered to play for Chile in the first place.

A Leicester City player

I thought we were supposed to support them

So does the very existence of this thread where we are discussing potentially upgrading positions in the team mean we are all failing to support our team as we are debating replacements ?! What a pretentious pills of tosh. Get off your soap-box and lighten up maybe ? Just a thought.

Metro FFS is a toilet paper.   If it had said Everton (the Mega Club), then I would give the article some credence.

The thought of us actually not signing anyone else is rather scary...we need a new striker in for Villa, otherwise I have this horrible feeling that we will end up being their lifeline.....

Haha - the paper they hand out for free in the City centre and is usually used as a placemat for coffee cups and burgers. If (a big if) we signed Austin (and I wouldn't be against it), he'd be here as well as Vardy not instead of - until the end of the season at least.

Otherwise we'd need at least one more striker and probably two.

Our owners aren't playing music on the city Leicester streets for a few public pennnies. They don't need to sell Vardy and to do so wouldn't enhance our European hopes but diminish them - Austin or not - because we'd still be short of back-up. Even from a purely financial point of view, why the hell would they do that?

Our club's got several significantly appreciating footballing assets and those assets are growing our brand name at a rate of knots by being near the top of the league and attracting the interest of football clubs, potential sponsors, the media and new players the world over.

Those things are worth more in the short and medium term than any quick buck from selling our favourite centre-forward or one of our other top stars. The summer is the time to review strategy - not while we're competing so keenly for a European place.

Sadly I think you are right Callabs

I do think we need a fresh injection of a couple of new players to pep us up for the second half of the season. Things are going stale (potentially) at the moment

I haven't agreed with what most of the pundits have said so far this season, but I do agree that we definitely need a few new signings to keep this increadible season going.

If we do not then we will fall away, we must bring in a few more quality players to A) add a bit more strength in depth, B) as you said freshen the squad up.

Let's not ruin this brilliant season with a naive approach to the second half of it.

Let's not forget that this time last year we were Villa (if not slightly better), we've obviously found a formula that works for us, but the evidence is there that things could realistically go tits up. Hate to sound negative but finishing outside of the top six from this position would be a huge shame.

Is it any worse than the Mail?

There may or may not be available targets but, there's no point in buying for buying sake just to add some fresh faces at silly prices. If any newcomer (with the exception of bright young talent for the future like Gray), is not a considerable improvement on Ulloah, Okazaki, Simpson or Inler, then its spending money for monies sake imo and best to stick with what we've got and rotate the best we can. Things are brilliant at the moment but Ranieri is right, we are building our foundations and it all bodes well for the future. Spending £20 million on one player doesn't equal instant payback at this time of the year or the market would be far more active than it is. I trust Walsh and his team to know what they're doing.
