fantastic_mr_fox Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Leicester Casino's revenue is going to take a serious hit
1972 Fox Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 When will the riot start?? We didn't sell him, he was out of contract.
MC Prussian Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Technically still a Leicester City player until the end of the month.
4everfox Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Before the season began, Knockaert was one of the players I was convinced would make the step up and I still believe he could. It's sad really, we have shared some great memories together and I will always have time for Knockaert.
foxoffderby Posted 2 June 2015 Posted 2 June 2015 Now knockearts gone Sounds like a headline from the front page of the daily mail
kingfox Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 Riot? We did perfectly fine without the overrated Anthony Knockaert; however for his 10-15 year old fanbase don't do anything drastic and start a #cutforknockaert campaign.

How is he overrated in anyway? Half our fans are idiots and think he wasnt good enough because he didnt smash the premiership in a handful of chances. He might not have been but he simply wasnt given a chance to prove it. The rest of the normal fans appreciate how good he was for us and the fact that we wouldnt be where we are today without him.

Most people saw him for exactly what he was. Always played with a sense of passion and had a hatfull of tricks. Produced some big moments and for that we should be gratefulAlso don't you fall into the 10-15 year old bracket?
Bagworthblue Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 He's not gone - Liege accidentally bought some geezer off Twitter pretending to be him!!

Fans were banging on about having him over Schlupp & Albrighton, well they also talked a load of shit. Albrighton made a difference towards the end of the season, Schlupp won two end of season awards & was probably our most improved player. Why do we still need Knockaert, Pearson obviously saw sense & knew he wasn't good enough. Forget his tricks, Hatem Ben Arfa has all the tricks as well, yet like Knockaert he is overrated & also got released by his club. Knockaert had a good first season, in our promoted season apart from his two moments against Watford & Sheffield Wednesday he was bang average. Rightfully released in my opinion, we have better & will continue to do better without him.
gerrytaggart Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 Go and give it some flair in Belgium Anthony. Good luck son.
LAprice_ Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 I don't really buy into the whole "if he was good enough, he would have played more". There are so many very good players who just never turned up in the Premier League. Some players are just suited to different tempos and styles of play and Knockaert moving to Standard may help him reach his potential. I think it would be harsh and negligent of the past 3 years to go out and call him "overrated". He's anything but overrated. In terms of natural ability, he's exceptional. Just because he doesn't fit into our Premier League team, it doesn't mean he's not good enough. I wish him all the best and would love to see him back at Leicester someday. Trust me, "Knockaert" isn't a name we'll be forgetting too quickly.
Finnaldo Posted 3 June 2015 Posted 3 June 2015 <\3 will never forget Forest, Huddersfield, Watford and Wednesday. Good night you beautiful bastard.

Bet you were wanking into your cocopops over Knocky about a year ago. His name will always remind me of a resurgent Leicester, and in many ways he was the embodiment of the new, exciting brand of football that saw us break into the play-offs and beyond. Things didn't work out for him last season but that doesn't mean I'll berate him for it. He always put in 100% and is responsible for some of the greatest moments the club have been a part of over the last couple of years. I don't think I'll see two better goals from one player in the same match than Huddersfield away. The only other example I can think of that comes remotely close is Jeff Bruma in the 4-2 drubbing of Watford in 2011. Maybe Gally scored an impressive brace at some point? Either way; it's been a rollercoaster, Tony. Go well.
