Danno Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Hahahaha people are absolute fuming that Vardy came on instead of that ****ing shite lump Charlie Austin
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Waste of time, Vardy came on too late to make any real impact and why bother selecting Austin at all? Rooney's touch when through on goal summed it up. Hafl expected Trevor Brooking and Glenn Hoddle to come on for someone's testimonial it was that laboured. Can't see why Vardy and Austin didn't start ... just bad to select players that know they are in the team
Dan Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Complete waste of time and effort (using the latter term very lightly). No-one on either side looked arsed. Our piss easy qualifying group is clouding the reality - Hodgson's got no clue how to progress us.
BlueSi13 Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 I like Hodgson as a man but he has been given a free ride by the media so far. No way in hell is that sort of performance acceptable. Vardy did OK but I don't think the media will give him anything more than a 5 or 6. It was one of those matches where a players reputation can grow if he doesn't actually get to play.
RowlattsFox Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 The game was nothing I didn't expect, not sure why we play internationals at this time. Players have already been on holiday and didn't bother coming back. Vardy did ok with his little moments, never a link up player so will give the ball away. It didn't get much chance to get in behind. Feel sorry Austin, what a waste of time for him.
Kitchandro Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Who claps that? Absolutely disgraceful excuse for a football match. England have so little ambition that they actually think hodgson is acceptable. What's the point in friendlies if you're not even going to try to develop some sort of style of play? Anyone who pays to watch that is a total mug.
The Doctor Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 So we've learnt that sterling is still just a flash in the pan, likewise barkley, Rooney is still shockingly overrated and England still don't use their options properly if at all. As you were then.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Seconds left and passing it around the back. **** me most of these players do not deserve to play for England. Absolutely criminal the lack of effort. Jamie is never gonna prosper as a lone striker and I am slowly despising Rooney more and more. He is still coasting off his performances 7 or 8 years ago. No fight, no passion, he just lolloped around aimlessly hoping someone would win a penalty for him to take. I know it's a friendly but these lads all know that no matter what they do their place in the first squad is secure which is the root of our problems. I feel sorry for Austin- absolute disgrace that he didn't get on the pitch
davieG Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 The way the game finished with Ireland virtually parking the bus Austin would have been the better option.
AdamN Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Vardy should have started. Those England players that started didn't give a shit. They may as well scrap international football if that's the effort level. Shouldn't have played at all, really. It's pointless playing someone whose strengths lie in stretching and harassing the back line, when the team is set up to do exactly the opposite. We had Vardy, Walcott and Townsend on the field by the end, yet I remember perhaps one pass into a channel where any of them could have used their pace. Just pass it back to Jagielka instead, why don't you...
Kitchandro Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Literally they weren't even trying to score a goal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Literally they weren't even trying to score a goal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Same for both sides ... neither team looked bothered
Corky Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Vardy might get a go next week but unless he scores or sets one up I don't think he'll be involved when Sturridge, Kane, Welbeck, Berahino are available.
orangecity23 Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 6 seconds left on the clock, England have the ball on the halfway line - put a ball towards the box? Nope, better just pass it backwards, no point in trying to score one of those goal thingys we've been hearing so much about.
ithuriel Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 The entire game was pants with little credit for any player in white, Ireland were a lot more direct and were the better team. At least Vardy got his cap

Made for an awful game
BlueSi13 Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 The entire game was pants with little credit for any player in white, Ireland were a lot more direct and were the better team. At least Vardy got his cap As bad as the match was, they really weren't.
Jattdogg Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 I wasnt surprised at all its england we are talking about. Maybe when we stop using prem league "star" english players and givong chances to the vardys (ya i know he is in prem league) and championship or even league one players who would give their left testicle to even be on the bench for england maybbbbe then we will see a change. These lot just show up to make them more marketable for a fat contract at the club level. Oh look in an england international tosser.
Jattdogg Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Jamie was better served going on that holiday with his family then this shit
Matt Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 What an awful game. Whilst I was moaning about him not coming on and i'm glad he did come on (Albeit to late) it's kind of a shame Vardy is gonna be associated with that pile of shite
foxes_rule1978 Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Jamie was better served going on that holiday with his family then this shit Well every player on the pitch were already on holiday it seemed
RowlattsFox Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 The game will be much better when Vardy is telling his kids about his England cap. Might as well as just bring back England B internationals for these games. Anyone with more than 10 caps can't play.
My Nads Posted 7 June 2015 Posted 7 June 2015 Buzzing for him but he'll bag himself a place on BBC3 sadly simply because we're not even attempting to play to his strengths as I knew we wouldn't. Townsend has actually looked decent to be fair to the bloke. He's an odd one him. I don't really agree with that. I though Townsend was the problem after he came on. He has a lot of the ball, but was clueless with what to do with it.
