Moto Hello Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 According to Football Manager our assistant manager and scout are both in the top 20 non-managerial backroom staff in terms of wages. Both being payed £12,500 a week. Do they get payed this in real life too? If so, isn't that a bit crazy for a club like us? I hope this hasn't been posted elsewhere and that I'm in the correct section of the forum. I wasn't sure if to put it in this section or the computers and gaming section due to the fact this is related to real life too.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 So much wrong with that hard to know where to start.
Hollism Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 FM is not a reliable source on a club's finances. They're worth that anyway compared to reported wages of players. Who's to say they aren't as valuable as any individual player on the pitch?
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 Easy to argue much more valuable than most players, probably all individually.
4everfox Posted 9 June 2015 Posted 9 June 2015 I earn a hundred grand a week according to football manager.
shailen Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 After winning us the PL finally, I was offered a new deal but negotiations broke down and now I'm manager of Luton Town having just signed Konchesky on a free. Funny old game is football.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Just to clear things up here, you do know FM is just a game right ?
Les-TA-Jon Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 There's 20 teams in the premier league. We are one of them. Why's it such a strange concept that our back room staff are amongst the top 20 earners? Oh and your source is a fvcking computer game...

Moto Hello Posted 10 June 2015 Author Posted 10 June 2015 I'd imagine he means in the world, which I wouldn't believe, otherwise yeah I'm not sure what his point is Yes, I mean of everyone on the entire game. Up there with the top staff from Madrid, Barca, Man City, etc. My point is that they are getting payed a crazy wage in comparison to people of similar calibre and for being at a club of our calibre.

I'm struggling to understand what you are not getting?
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Think the OP's humour is a little too subtle for some on here.
Sampson Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I wouldn't say that sounds crazy for an assistant manager of a Premier League side. It's less than plenty of PL reserve players get paid. If Football Manager says no more than 18 other teams in the world pay their highest ranking backroom staff that amount I'd suggest it's due to other teams understating their wages than anything.
MC Prussian Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 You know it's the off-season when people suddenly start discussing the wage structure of our coaching staff.
st albans fox Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I have no idea but I think if shakey is on 12k/week, he should look less fooking miserable!
Guest Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I heard he's on 35K aweek after asking for 80K a week. He gets a bonus depending on how many miles he walks in the coaches area on matchday.
Rocket-Ron Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I'm not surprised to be honest, you wouldn't believe how much those Mario brothers wanted to charge me to replace my boiler....
BrokenRecord Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 People are giving him stick but the funny part is that fm is surprisingly accurate on most things.
Captain... Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Foxestalkers in missing the point shocker! These games do research, they aim for accuracy, whether 12 grand a week is accurate or not for some reason they think they are on massive wages for their role, it is reasonable to question why. The fact that nobody on here can prove they aren't on 12 grand a week and FM researchers will have good contacts it is entirely plausible and I wouldn't begrudge them a penny.
