Leicester target Kevin Toner is set to sign a new one-year deal at Aston Villa before being allowed to leave on loan next season. The 18-year-old defender is highly rated at Villa Park but his contract is set to expire so the club have been keen to sort out an extension.The Republic of Ireland Under-19 international, who has yet to make a senior appearance for Villa, is poised to sign a new one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months before a season-long move away from August is likely to be agreed.Leicester were linked with the centre-back and they may still pursue the possibility of taking the youngster on loan, but a temporary switch down to a Championship club instead is expected as Villa boss Tim Sherwood intends to keep an eye on the youngster from afar.Norwich have also been watching his situation closely but following their promotion via the Championship play-offs they may also miss out. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/leicester-city/foxes-target-tipped-to-sign-new-villa-deal-1943701.html

Xen Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Cant see why Villa would loan us their youngsters. We're a similar stature of club at the minute so there'd be no chance of him getting into our matchday squad, so unless its a loan for the dev squad then I'm not sure why we'd bother...

However, I have heard suggestions that he can be a little slow at times and that to get the best out of him it's vital that you pair him with a S-Printer.
