Pearson Sacked

Gotta agree with Webbo here.

We still don't know why (exactly) Pearson got the sack. We can all speculate but as yet, there's no definitive.

Two points for me. Firstly, running (and owning) a football club in the modern age IS more than just results on the pitch. Like it or not, it's also about reputation, public perception and marketing.

Secondly...I thought it was only a couple or three weeks ago that we had the best owners in the world? Weren't there threads praising them to the hilt? Now we've had many many many posts criticising them, belittling them and more.

That doesn't sit right. I still feel they are great owners, have been good to the club and probably had to do what they felt was the best for the club.

As Webbo said, they probably did what they felt was best for the club at this present time even if it results in a downturn in our on - field fortunes.

Which it might or might not.

Absolutely right. The board were the best thing since sliced bread, and the best owners in the league, having cleared all our debt,

Now all the fickle little toe rags are crawling out from under their stones, to slag them off, when none of the facts have been divulged, and all because one employee of the company, Leicester City, has been sacked.

Wake up the real world, and back your club.

I suspect a lot of Pearson's anger with it may come from the fact that we are still employing a person who assaulted a woman in comparison to his son who whilst misguided and disgusting in nature didn't break a law.

In this country. Fairly certain production of a sex tape and distributing it is a crime in Thailand.

Unfortunately for Master Pearson even tho he might not have said anything or did anything improper unlike the other two he was unfortunately or not guilty by association !

Big Nigel flew off the handle andust have said something to upset the owners that couldn't be taken back and they had to part company !!

But is there a little bit of a conspiracy theory that these lads were set up by others away from vichai and top to get Pearson removed as manager ?? ;)

Which leaves me to question why have the three not being charged or called in by the Police in any manner?

It sure is a merry-go-round.

Preki's coming...no he isn't.

MON's coming...seems to be slightly dead by something.

Haven't the Thais made their money by the King Power brand?

And they are owners of LCFC.

Therefore, by definition, isn't what's good for the King Power brand also good for the long term future of the club?

(Assuming the owners stay).

If King Power does well, there will be, in theory, more money with which to progress the football club? As long as they continue spending..which they most certainly have done.

The two can't be mutually exclusive surely?

Of course they can . Wasn't that the very problem holding back Villa and Sunderland and now even Newcastle. Owners not spending enough money despite having plenty of it.

Thankfully our Owners have been first class which is why they deserve our support. It doesn't mean they are right or wrong to sack Pearson. It just means they exercised their right to do as they wish.  Whatever their reasons we don't know. What ever relationship Pearson had with them he clearly misread the signals.

Sorry, I did mean in our case, of course.

The Thais have always spent on the club and for the club. You're quite correct.

I know from your posts you respect the Owners. While I respect what NP done for us he wasn't perfect.  I just hope they don't allow what NP started to be dismantled by others. Which I'm sure they won't.

Erm ..... I could be nit picking here but has the club ever confirmed they sacked him?

Did Pearson leave?

Did Tgey mutually agree that they wanted different things from the relationship, so grew apart?

Has Pearson found someone else?

Has the club found out Nogel has been talking to another club begins it's back?

The club haven't made any official statements for a good while (only about players reporting back, looking happy in training etc - on the OS).

I genuinely believe that more has been happening behind closed doors, probably something we don't know that led to Pearson's sacking.

They said they'd relieved him of his duties in the statement, so yes, he was sacked.

I heard something about this today.

It has come via a very, very circuitous route so I cannot be sure of its accuracy and I'm not claiming that this is true, its just something I heard.

I was told that (allegedly) and agreement was reached with Pearson Jnr so that he would be paid off to leave as he was not immediately sacked. The offer was later retracted which is when relations went downhill.

As I say, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this information.

That makes no sense - He was out of contract at the end of June. Surely it wouldn't cost that much to pay off this contract for 4 weeks or so?

Get Over It!!

The owners are 100% right ..... Nigel was a RR disaster .... Not the kind of manager that a upwardly mobile team such as LCFC would have anything to do with. Get over it and move on !!!

Generally 'upwardly mobile' teams are better off with the manager that was making them an upwardly mobile team.
