Thought it was quite funny when Liverpool were loosing, gonna have to put up with everyone bleating on about how amazing they are now, even though they never wanted the wafer cup in the first place.

Hope whoever they have in the next round knocks them out.

Pop along to any pub showing footie in town and then see why Liverpool should be despised

Find it embarrassing the amount of Leicester people support that lot !

I agree .... It's not thier behaviour that upsets me , it's the sheer number of Liverpool fans in Leicester and many from an Asian background , I also know plenty of 30 something Non Asian Leicester lads who will say "Liverpool are my second team" WTF is that all about.

We all know them it's been mentioned on plenty of other threads.

One good thing to come out of this magical season for LCFC is hopefully local kids don't see the need to follow a team 150 miles away and feel the real desire to support thier local team.

As I say Every time Liverpool are playing it shocks me at how many local Leicester people wearing shirts are shouting them on.

I don't get it at all , I can't understand how you can have a tribal affiliation with a club like Liverpool who apart form being on TV have been virtually irrelevant in the rest of your life !

For anyone born around the early 80's, Liverpool would be prominent in their early memories of football - They had a lot of recognisable players (Barnes, Rush, Brucey G) and were sucessful - something quite attractive to a 7 / 8 yr old.

From memory, most people in my school started off supporting Liverpool and then switched to United once they became big - with a small period of Tottenham support inbetween (The Gazza phenomenon).

Falling asleep after the Reus goal and logging in to your betting account to withdraw your winnings isn't annoying at all.

Sounds like your getting old Matt. ;)

I'm pretty sure their carers are more than able to stand.

Yeah I saw this on Facebook earlier and thought that that was pretty obvious considering only half of them jumped up.

Idiots mate, some people are capable of standing but still have to use a chair mostly.

The lack of input in this thread is appalling.

Seriously, it just shows how important the Europa League is to most football fans in the grand scheme of things. There's your national league frenzy, maybe a cup competition you follow closely... and the Champions League.

Europa League? Pah!

Here are tonight's semi-final (first leg) results:

Shakhtar Donezk 2 - 2 Sevilla FC

Villarreal 1 - 0 Liverpool FC

Personally, I'd love a Villarreal - Donezk final, with the Spaniards emerging as the deserved winners and new title holders.

Europa league to me is a pointless competition. sure if you get to the final you might get into it a bit but it just doesnt excite me at all. They talk about too many league games yet we waste games on europa and league cups etc.

Looking like their could be all Spanish finals in both europa and champs league. Insane.

In fairness the site was down from 8-10 last night.

Think that goal is going to about kill Liverpool. They've got to go at Villarreal and that's where they're at their best.

If the two Madrid sides, Sevilla and Villarreal all go through, which for me all four sides are favourites to, it would mean that not a single Spanish side exited Europe to a non-Spanish side, which is absolutely ridiculous.

I suppose Valencia did go out of their CL group to Zenit & Gent but it didn't put them out of Europe.
