MC Prussian Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 So Celtic start their Europa League endeavor with a win against Icelandic side Stjarnan in the 2nd qualifying round. West Ham are facing Birkirkara from Malta tomorrow after having advanced in the first round with a 4-0 win on aggregate against Lusitanos (Andorra). Linfield and Newtown are also still in the competition, as well as the Irish first-round surprise University College Dublin (UCD). Southampton enter in the following round.
Corky Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Celtic did well to be knocked out of the Champions League without even playing
Danizen Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Celtic did well to be knocked out of the Champions League without even playing Well it makes a change from qualifying without winning.
MC Prussian Posted 16 July 2015 Author Posted 16 July 2015 West Ham feeling the pre-season blues - drawing with the mighty Birkirkara at the moment.
jimmeh Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Rijeka I thought kramaric's old mob were half decent? Lost 3-0 at home to Aberdeen tonight in Europa league what happened to the Croats on here
MC Prussian Posted 17 July 2015 Author Posted 17 July 2015 There already is a Europa League thread. Sorry for being so pedantic: http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/101609-europa-league-20152016/
Guest Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 They hadn't lost at home in Europe for 5 years. 12 games I think that was. Mighty good win for Aberdeen.
Super_horns Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Could be Inverness v West Ham!Tough game for the Saints against Vitesse (Chelsea 2nds?)
MC Prussian Posted 23 July 2015 Author Posted 23 July 2015 Fabrizio Miccoli features for Birkirkara... Wow, didn't know he was still around and kicking. Equalizes for the Maltese side at home against West Ham.
Stuntman_Mike Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Unsure if I want West Ham to lose or not tonight... I fancy them to be down there next season, especially with a run in the Europa League.
Nalis Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Aberdeen break the longest distance travelled for a European club competition game: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/33714222 Got to hand it to the 65 Aberdeen fans travelling all that distance for a third round Europa League qualifier!
MC Prussian Posted 30 July 2015 Author Posted 30 July 2015 FC Zürich losing to the mighty Dinamo Minsk! Austrian minnows Altach beat Guimaraes.
RonnieTodger Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 West Ham should be thrown out for being absolutely shit. Also, they qualified through fair play and have had a red card every round
Wymsey Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 West Ham should be thrown out for being absolutely shit. Also, they qualified through fair play and have had a red card every round Somehow don't think they give a crap if they get knocked out, over fears players might be fatigued for the PL season.
Corky Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Somehow don't think they give a crap if they get knocked out, over fears players might be fatigued for the PL season. I'll happily take their place.
Asha Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Legia's away first leg with some Albanian side was abandoned after Ondrej Duda was hit on the head by a 'stone' http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33728502 Tie should be handed to Legia and these stupid teams banned. A much stronger stance needs taking over in Albania, Serbia etc because generally these fans are an absolute disgrace.
Dan Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 Allowing a team into the competition for having less cards than others is the absolute definition of lowering the prestige. Of course they would go and have a red card every round too. I know English sides in Europe have been crap for a while but West Ham are taking it to a whole new level here. This is absolutely indefensible from them.

Was just about to say that Legia warsaw with some of the worst hooligans in the world lol
Asha Posted 31 July 2015 Posted 31 July 2015 Because Polish football fans are famously well behaved. lol ****ing hell Nssl. In the past... jesus it's been pretty chilled out for at least a decade now and even then it wasn't any worse than the English hooligans back in the day. So if some third world unit comes to Anfield in the Europa League this season and starts a riot we'll say "Yeah, but Liverpool fans caused the Heysel Disaster..." ? I must have missed Poland being docked points in this Euro campaign then, seeing as the fans are so unruly and what not.
AjcW Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 West Ham XI : Randolph, Knoyle, Jenkinson, Henry, Page, Poyet, Nolan, Cullen, Lanzini, Lee, Maiga. Think I might stick some money on Astra!
