Next season's relegation rivals

I'll go for the Mark Lawrenson approach and insist everyone will be fine so no relegated sides this season.

Pretty much why I think Bournemouth will surprise a few. I think they'll score quite a few.

Whether they can keep em out will be their make or break I think.

I don't see goals in that Bournemouth side. Wilson is a flat track bully and just runs in straight lines (very fast mind you), King isn't a goal scorer, Kermorgant is 'clever' but I doubt clever enough and then thats really your lot.

Distin isn't going to bring much defensive resolve either.

All depends where you're looking Mike.

They scored quite a few from midfield last season too.

They are a free flowing, quick, get the ball up top quick kinda side.

That's why I think they'll score, especially at home, but also concede.

The majority came from the front three of Wilson, Pitman (now at Ipswich) and Yann.

If we take our front three as an example

Vardy 16 goals down to 5

Nugent 20 goals down to 5

Wood 8 down to 1

Even a midfield which contributed 34 in 13/14 (24 from players who remained into 14/15) only mustered 16 the following (6 from those who remained)

So far they've overpaid for a left back and acquired an free transfer CB.

I still expect 2 of the promoted 3 to drop and then I think it's a toss up between the other promoted side, Villa, Sunderland, West Brom and us. Possibly the geordies too

As an outsider rival, I'd say West Ham.

Like Everton did, I think West Ham will struggle due to their Europa commitments in the early stages of the season and this extra work will probably impact on them too.

bournemouth for me need to get destroyed by a few, as a fox living in bournemouth its actualy quite disgusting to see so manu appear out of the woodwork and it really is a disgrace, i know people that support teams such as arsenal, utd, villa, west ham and even sheff utd fans who are getting season tickets just because its a local club for them...no way you support you club no matter what, you do not jump on bandwagons especially when 6 years ago bmouth nearly failed to even exist, fans here had a whip around for them to keep them alive when they travelled to blyth spartans on a fa cup replay wet tuesday night. they overspent last season on wages and money on transfer fees and are happily doing it again this season on players wages and 8m for mings. i hate that club and i need them to go back down asap and get some beatings along the way. its a shit ground and shit fans!!!!

Can't see much hope for Bournemouth or Norwich. I think both will struggle with the step up and they may well be the bottom 2 come May. Watford are the one team that could come up and surprise but stability is the main worry here.  From those who stayed up last season, there are 3 clubs in trouble at this stage....

Aston Villa have already lost Vlaar and Delph with Benteke very close to leaving. £40m in the bank may be helpful but replacing 3 of your top players and the spine of your side isn't an easy task. Tim Sherwood needs to get his decisions right this summer.

Sunderland remind me of Coventry from when I was a youth, always crap but always seem to stay up. A squad full of rejects and average players with nobody really standing out (Johnson has a handful of good games) and surely their luck has to end sooner or later if they don't freshen up the team.

Newcastle are the other team who are looking in trouble to me but they could totally prove me wrong. A lot could come down to the signings of Wijnaldum and Mitrovic. Both players are going to need to step up quickly and it is highly possible that they won't especially in a "team" that is lacking real quality across pitch and has shown little in the way of spirit over the last few seasons.

Ask me again though on September 2nd and I might have totally changed my mind. Don't like making predictions before the transfer window shuts to be honest.

You think you've got problems? Guess which club suddenly had an attendance of >20,000 on the last day of last season (when said club's average gate is around 17,000)?

It's at the point now where it's getting harder to predict because the quality is getting better and better each year, although I can't see past Norwich finishing bottom.

Norwich won't score enough goals. Feel Bournemouth may fall short, Watford will they last with the same manager? Lots of different nationalities there will they gel? Watford are the pick of the bunch. Villa look like they are in trouble already. Can see Newcastle struggling again and West Brom.

Sunderland will finish top 10, Dick is the man.

Quality getting better each year. There's another myth. Last season's Premier League was relatively awful. Shit like Newcastle, Sunderland and Villa all stayed up.

Swansea and Southampton to go down lol absolutely zero chance. They are sorted for years to come.

Us, Bournemouth and Watford to go for me.

You utter swine Ealing!

Why us, considering the promoted teams will mean - historically - at least 1 maybe 2 of the three places are already taken?

Norwich don't seem to have done a lot of business - would that worry their fans?

On the other hand we've done loads which could either greatly improve the team or cause us an issue or two whilst the new players gel and adjust.
