Merchant_Banker Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 It would be interesting to see how these graphs changed for Leicester between the run in and the rest of the season
EGBFitness Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I'm going with a surprise candidate of Southampton. Another summer selling big names and Koemans tactics more known, they struggled towards the end of last season and think this might be the year they struggle
RowlattsFox Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I don't think Swansea will go down but I did predict a while ago that they may finish bottom 6. But that was before they brought in Ayew and Eder, much will depend on whether they prove to be good signings. Can't see anything other than the same strugglers though, maybe West Ham might be a surprise. None of the promoted sides have strengthened enough to make me too worried yet though.
artursteppe Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 My interpretation of what is needed from looking at those graphs is definitely a defensive midfield/holding player. This would give us the opportunity to reap huge rewards. Could be top half finish.
Aus Fox Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I believe West Ham will be in all sorts of trouble, starting their season so early, Europa league, a new manager unproven at this level a recipe for disaster. Bournemouth will drop, but pick up some surprise results along the way and Norwich will also go, Watford if they stay stable off the pitch will just survive, but if they sack their manager early could drop. Sunderland, Villa and WBA will also struggle. Palace, Southampton and Swansea will be well clear.
Ian S Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 We dont have relegation rivals, because we are not going to be struggling down at the bottom end next season. Would have agreed 2/3 weeks ago!
foxes21 Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 Can see Villa finally going down tbh.. Lost too many key players. In all honesty, this season looks tougher then last season... Lets not be ignorant to the fact that Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich are all capable teams. The most important thing for us right now is stability and Ranieri has already said he doesn't want to change too much in terms of the formation & personnel which is good for us. As long as the players buy into what Ranieri is trying to achieve, we can stay up comfortably. I can see Norwich, Villa and Sunderland going down. I think Bournemouth and Watford have the potential to stay up, but Watford could screw it all up if they continue their manager merry-go-round...
ARM1968 Posted 17 July 2015 Posted 17 July 2015 I agree that Watford, Bournmouth and Norwich are all capable, I just think the gulf is so massive now that all 3 will be in the mix. Not saying none will survive. I just expect the bottom of the PL to be as chaotic as last season with a lot of teams struggling and others getting sucked in late on. Hope we're not one of them.

Villa look to be shooting themselves in the foot with everyone wanting to leave. Sherwood now has big problems.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 I see Villa struggling massively, lost their two most influential players, without them last season they would have comfortably got relegated
Sharpe's Fox Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Just me who thinks Watford will be comfortable then? Think the general consensus is that they are an unknown quantity. Liable to score loads but also let loads in as well as a new manager.
Super_horns Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Think that too - probably why we've concentrated on getting defenders and defensive midfielders in.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Bournemouth, Sunderland, and Watford, are likely to struggle, imo.
Carl the Llama Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 I want to say I can see Newcastle improving this season, but I thought that last one too so I'm not going to.
Durnerz Posted 19 July 2015 Posted 19 July 2015 Palace for me, Pardew normally starts well at a club then goes downhill, Bournemouth I think will struggle as will Villa
Dan Posted 19 July 2015 Posted 19 July 2015 Literally no way on earth will Southampton or Swansea go down. I will be absolutely amazed.

I might be being thick here but why are they struggling past dross from Andorra & Malta? I'll assume it's them taking it pretty lightly and not because they aren't good enough to hammer them. Some of the fans on Bilic's back already. Got to say I'd love them down as well as Villa.
ealingfox Posted 19 July 2015 Posted 19 July 2015 Swansea and Southampton to go down absolutely zero chance. They are sorted for years to come. Us, Bournemouth and Watford to go for me.
Dan Posted 19 July 2015 Posted 19 July 2015 I'm afraid we're right in contention for me now. Think if we hadn't *can't mention it without being shot down* then we'd have survived fairly comfortably. Now we're as unknown a quantity as Watford for me although I do think we've got some pretty good players now.
LCFC FOX Posted 19 July 2015 Posted 19 July 2015 Don't think we'll go down. We've got a good squad with a decent manager. Personally think CR will do well here
fleckneymike Posted 19 July 2015 Author Posted 19 July 2015 Goals keep you up. Southampton will be ok, their goals for and against don't even remotely hint at struggle (54 for 33 against). Swansea, not so much (46 for 49 against). They had Michu, replaced him with Bony, lost Bony and replaced with... I'm not saying they are certs for relegation but just look at the demise of Villa, Sunderland, Newcastle (Cisse gets banned and they plummet), starve a side of goals and they have a slow painful death. Swansea are counting on finding Bony mk2 (I think Eder rather than Ayew may be that player). Only 3 sides had a worse defensive record than us last season, Newcastle, Villa and QPR but crucially only 10 sides scored more. It sounds a bit Neil Wanock but you need strikers and plenty of them.

Pretty much why I think Bournemouth will surprise a few. I think they'll score quite a few. Whether they can keep em out will be their make or break I think.
