UpTheLeagueFox Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Got a friend who is a journalist and PNE fan who says Konchesky is going to join them, just waiting to get a payoff sorted from Leicester. Hope this is true. If so, LCFC will probably pay him a portion of the wages remaining on his contract because PNE wouldn't be able to match it. Can't see PK getting much of a look in with us this season (long overdue IMHO) and he'd give PNE some experience on their return to the Championship. Win/win all round. And hopefully the young lad Chilwell continues to progress at left back. They've got very high hopes for him.
Stevosevic Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 Yep, can't see him getting a game. If we play with wing backs, it will be Jeff or Fuchs. If we play a 442, it's likely to be Fuchs, and Chilwell is now involved with the first team as cover if needed.
Livid Posted 18 July 2015 Posted 18 July 2015 He had the option in his contract to extend it by a year, he merely exercised that option. I guess he didn't get a better offer than what he has here.

I have a feeling there would be some kind of clause for the player to extend it a year, based on appearances or us staying up. Whichever way, given the signing of fuchs a loan to the championship beckons for konch now.
