Finnegan Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Few people have mentioned it before, but it is actually quite refreshing not to see a player jump and just go to the team paying the highest wages. It would of been nice if it wasn't us and a player like Aranguiz, but fair play to him. Time to move on now. People need to stop portraying Aranguiz as some sort of honourable victim as well. BL would still be a pay rise but comes with CL football attached. He thinks it'll raise his profile, he's not an idiot. He's also playing the game just the same as Inter, ourselves, BL and DIS are.

It would, but (according to this twitter guy) our wage proposal and signing on fee were on another level. We might not be able to raise his profile through Champions League, but I'm sure playing in the Premier League week in week out would do..
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 If he doesn't wanna play for us then feck him, i don't want him here. How many more pages of this do we need to spew up?
FoxinNotts Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 This is by no means over... Bit dull though isn't it! Wake me up when it is
norwichfox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 I'd prefer we don't have him if he doesn't want to play for us....but it's so difficult to know the true situation with all the fcuking wind ups in this thread....anyone got a BS filter?
Babylon Posted 6 August 2015 Author Posted 6 August 2015 Stop saying "move on", stop saying "close the thread" you utter dingbats.
mozartfox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Putting this into perspective, it does 'appear' he does not want to play for us. All said and done, If your Boss tried to force you into watching Forest every week, what would you do?
Finnegan Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 If he doesn't wanna play for us then feck him, i don't want him here. How many more pages of this do we need to spew up? Nobody in the squad (Moore aside), not even Kingy, grew up wanting to play for Leicester. They all dreamed of bigger things.
Fuch Me Moore Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Its not over until he is looking down the lens of a camera snapping him with a city shirt in his hands. Smiling politely whilst gritting his teeth together.
norwichfox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 The Mods issued a decree yesterday - keep up. which one.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Decrees
RowlattsFox Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 We'll monitor the situation now and go back in towards the end of the month if he hasn't signed for Bayer by then. I'm surprised no-one else has expressed an interest, especially more established Premier League Clubs.
fleckneymike Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Close thread Life time ban coming mate What! It's just bants
ARM1968 Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Probably just our last bargaining move this round. Agree today or the offer is gone. Inter and the players owners will literally crap themselves. Find out whatever fridge Aranguiz is sitting in, drag him out and make him sign. Anyway 99% of players are mercenaries. They all want the best deal or best club they can achieve. To think anything else is just foolish. If a big club came in for King he'd be off in a flash. If Aranguiz ends up here I expect he'll play well and try to create a move to someone bigger. No point at all in chin dragging and playing crap.

I'm surprised no-one else has expressed an interest, especially more established Premier League Clubs. I quite like this tactic, I'm sure Internacional and Leicester are working very closely together. Leicester don't want to appear aggressive in their pursuit of Aranguiz and force him here under duress. I believe with the apparent step back from Leicester that Internacional won't budge on their 15m valuation and Leverkusen won't pay it. Aranguiz will be the victim in this Mexican stand off as the Germans won't pay and he's burned his bridges with Inter. Aranguiz desperate to leave rekindles his relationship with Leicester and Robert is your father's brother.
Babylon Posted 6 August 2015 Author Posted 6 August 2015 Another part of the game... essentially the club are trying to say "You're only going to Bayer for 15m and your only other option is now slipping away son.... tick tock".
Gerard Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Another part of the game... essentially the club are trying to say "You're only going to Bayer for 15m and your only other option is now slipping away son.... tick tock". The important factor in all this is Leicester have Inter's back and this has been reiterated to Inter from Leicester We've given them a license to be uncompromising as us taking a step back is nothing but words and all part of the game, we're still as eager as ever to sign Aranguiz.
Molly Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 Just looked through the purchases of the other Prem teams and there are many over £10m. He's worth more.
