tom27111 Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 With the bundesliga, bayern will 9/10 always win the league. Were over here any of our top 4 could win it. However in Germany there standards teams outside the top for I.e 7 or 8 teams could make there top 4 were as over here outside our top 4 only 2-3 teams could challenge them. No. In the last 10 years, Bayern have won it 6 times and 3 other teams have won it. Compare that with the Premier League, where there have been 3 different winners in the past decade.
Max Power Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 German clubs will do better in Europe again this season I bet.
Stevosevic Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Whats your point? That there isn't as much money in Germany? That one club dominates, the league isn't as competitive as the Pl.
tom27111 Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 That one club dominates, the league isn't as competitive as the Pl. Might want to check your facts before making things up
Itsthejoeker Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 It's not all about who qualifies for Europe and who doesn't. It's about the fan base, and there's a reason why the TV deal in the premier league is worth so much, it's because it's the most watch competition in the world.
gerrytaggart Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 This thread has gotten serious...I was having a wail of a time posting nonsense before. At least lest all agree on that??
foxes_rule1978 Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 No. In the last 10 years, Bayern have won it 6 times and 3 other teams have won it. Compare that with the Premier League, where there have been 3 different winners in the past decade. Bayern are now much stronger than any teams in the bundesliga... they will run away with the league once again ... just as they did the last 2 seasons , whilst a few years back things were closer now Bayern just raid all the other teams and a huge gap has formed
gerrytaggart Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 German clubs will do better in Europe again this season I bet. Hi Bet.

But the Bundesliga has the highest combined attendance of any European league.
Molly Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 But the Bundesliga has the highest combined attendance of any European league. Germany has a greater population.
dpjfox Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 the EPL is competitive but in reality how many teams could win the league?... same every year
Jimbo Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 LISTEN TO YOURSELF CHRIST. BAYER AREN'T GENK OR SOME OTHER NO MARK, THEY QUALIFIED FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BY FINISHING IN THE TOP 4 OF (ARGUABLY) A STRONGER LEAGUE THAN THE PREM. It's not a stronger league, remove the current bayern Munich side and it's arguably more competitive than the the premier, but not stronger. The Spanish league, in terms of competition,is just one step above the Scottish premier, and the French league is just about on par with the German league. The English premier league is the strongest, the richest and top 4/5 aside the most competitive in my opinion. It's the most watched league in the world. Our problem is we see the same teams every year competing at the top maybe down to 8th place, and everyone else is realistically a relegation candidate. Our best selling point is for him to believe that he is better than leverkusen. Being in the prem gets him more exposure and he has the chance the be a big fish in a small pond with us.
Itsthejoeker Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 But the Bundesliga has the highest combined attendance of any European league. The average TV viewing figures for a Bundesliga game is 2 million. Premier League is 12 million.
22BLUE Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 But the Bundesliga has the highest combined attendance of any European league. It was obviously a point about worldwide viewers, your point is irrelevant.
mozartfox Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Not sure where this is all heading Folks. Comparing the PL and the German Bundesliga will have little if no bearing where this Chappie ends up. Money Money talks.
Joepeace09 Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Some peoples ignorance on other leagues is baffling, Can guarantee Wolfsburg, Monchagladbach, Dourtmund will do better than most the English teams in Europe. The Prem is the most competitive and richest but to say the Bundesliga is like the SPL is madness.

Money Money talks. You are right, us comparing the two leagues won't have any bearing on where this bloke goes. But the fact that more people worldwide will get to see this guy play in the prem might just.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 That's not the point. If he wants Champions League football then he aint coming here. It is the point I was arguing in the first place (somebody had a pop at another poster for saying that Leverkusen had as much chance of winning the champions league as we did) although I'm unsure why it's relevant as they're obviously a bigger draw.
Stevosevic Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 Might want to check your facts before making things up Every player is pulled to Bayern, regardless of where their club has finished. It's absurd how a huge club like Dortmund lose their best players to a club they are competing with. The teams at the bottom of the league are nowhere near as strong as the bottom of the PL either. If it was more exciting and more competitive than the PL, then the Bundesliga would be bigger than the PL on a global scale and would be receiving the crazy money from the TV deals.
Mike Oxlong Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 That's not true. They have a chance because they are in it. We don't. Therefore they have an infintessimally larger chance than we do. even though we both know that they won't. Infintesimally means very small, tiny! No you don't. I misspelled it and then he told me that a word he misspelled meant something that it didn't because he misspelled it. There was no need for his reply other than that he is a pedant. I pointed that out. You jumped in with your boots on because you're a macho man An "infinitesimally larger chance" would mean an extremely small larger chance. He gave you the proper meaning of the word in the context of your use of it. He did this not because he misspelt it but because of how you used it. Yes, I am a macho man but I don't wear boots in bed. You are clearly not the sharpest tool in the box. Nothing wrong with that mind except when you start presenting as a bit of a know it all.
