Would we really get Aranguiz AND Inler if we still have lil N'golo?

If we've seriously got Inler and Aranguiz then N'golo can GTF anyway.

People jumping to conclusions.

We've agreed fees, nothing new at all.

When sky say they understand we will sign him I consider it new.

There is no way any one of these players will be content with sitting on the bench so I cant see all three happening

Not if we play three in the middle.

Schmeichel

Wasilewski - Huth - Morgan

Albrighton - Aranguiz - Kante - Inler - Schlupp

Kramaric - Vardy

WOW!

So they said we understand that Aranguiz is discussing terms but will join? Then they mentioned that inler will sign....? Look's as if we will have to wait until there both in the shirt?

Sky said Charles "will join", while we have "agreed to sign Inler"

I think if we were to play that Aranguiz would switch with Kante to be behind the strikers, seems a more attacking based player from what i have heard.

I doubt more than about 10 people on this forum have even seen Kante play and all of a sudden he's the answer to our prayers.

Inler and Aranguiz much more exciting, albeit it sounds like they're less realistic.

This is from the Sky Transfer Centre, doesn't look like anything we weren't already aware of.

LEICESTER AGREE FEES FOR DUO

Leicester are discussing personal terms with Charles Aranguiz after agreeing a club-record £10.5m fee with Internacional, according to Sky sources.

The Foxes have also moved to further strengthen their midfield by agreeing a fee of £3m for experienced Napoli midfielder Gokhan Inler.

Would love all 3 to sign

If Kante is as close as we're led to believe - then we're 1/3 of the way to improving our midfield.

If all 3 can be signed - then along with the midfielders we already have - the "tinkerman" would have a lot of ways he could set us up depending on opposition. The variety we have up front only increases the amount of flexiblility we'll have.

We need players like Aranguiz if the owners are serious about us breaking into the top 10 this season. We need to sell this vision of a team with the potential to do that this season and go for the Europa within 2 or 3 seasons time. My head tells me we're not there yet - but my heart can't help but hope. If we can recapture at least some of the form we were in at the end of last season - with the improvements we've made (assuming at least this transfer and the kante one goes ahead) I think we'll definately avoid the relegation this season and end up somewhere midtabe. I know we've lost one influential player and a manager good at installing passion in his players - but the Italians are supposed to be passionate too - and looking at Ranieri in the preseason (and listening to the interviews about how he comes across from the player's perspective too) it sounds like he's giving his all to drive the players to play their best too.

I try not to get too excited - being a Leicester supporter teaches you to expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised when things work out for the best - but I am glad we seem to have the finances - if not yet the attraction - to target the type of players we need to fulfil a long stay in this league.

Really hoping (everything crossed) that we get these players

1 (ideally both) of Aranguiz or Inler (along with Kante) and at least one decent CB extra and I'll be happy. (Plus a 3rd choice goalkeeper I suppose).

lol It's incredible isn't it?

I've got a mate who works for football radar in France and he says Kante is ok but nothing special, he pissed himself when I mentioned the comparison to Makelele. Said that's like comparing Adam Johnson to Lionel Messi.

Inler and Aranguiz are proven quality though who have already performed well at the highest level, no doubt about that, signings to really excite.

WOW!

Mahrez will be key this year. Can't leave him out, unless we are playing defensive & play all 3.

If we've managed to get him as far as discussing personal terms then surely that's the biggest hurdle over come.

If Samuel Eto'o and Roberto Carlos can be persuaded to go and play in Chechnya then I'm sure we can convince Charlie that Leicester isn't all that bad.

I'll be honest but that report from skysports look's like old news, they seem to be a day behind? Not taking anything they have said for granted. Think maybe the clearest indication we will get will be from Ranieri later, although even then he might just tell us that deal's are close? I'm saying Monday/Tuesday until we hear anything official?
