conLAD logan Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 It's not a stronger league, remove the current bayern Munich side and it's arguably more competitive than the the premier, but not stronger. The Spanish league, in terms of competition,is just one step above the Scottish premier, and the French league is just about on par with the German league. The English premier league is the strongest, the richest and top 4/5 aside the most competitive in my opinion. It's the most watched league in the world. Our problem is we see the same teams every year competing at the top maybe down to 8th place, and everyone else is realistically a relegation candidate. Our best selling point is for him to believe that he is better than leverkusen. Being in the prem gets him more exposure and he has the chance the be a big fish in a small pond with us. Jesus wept, you think la liga is only one step above the Scottish prem in terms of competition?! It's arguably the same as the prem if not slightly worse as there's been a shift in power in recent years with the emergence of athletico Madrid and also Sevilla who actually won the Europa league and therefore gain a champions league place, and they finished outside of the top 4 due to Valencia!! How you can compare it to a one team league is ridiculous.

You can find arguments for Chelsea, City, United and Arsenal this year The season hasn't kicked off yet and Bayern are 1/8 on to win the title. They're not far off Celtic who are 1/12 on to win the SPL. It's almost a foregone conclusion thus quite boring and predictable. In England it's: Chelsea 7/4 Man City 3/1 Arsenal 9/2 Man Utd 11/2

6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 1 August 2015 Posted 1 August 2015 English clubs will need to take the Europa League more seriously, we are likely to lose a Champions League spot due to our clubs lack of enthusiasm for that tournament. In terms of entertainment, PL, is the big sell, German football gets great attendancee and pricing, La Liga I would say has the higher all round quality, but probably lacks the passion seen in the PL. He could get champions league football this season, sign for us, play well and we sell him to Bayern Munich in January!
