davieG Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Leicester City have held further talks with Napoli midfielder Gokhan Inler in a bid to convince him to sign for Claudio Ranieri. The clubs agreed a £3.1million fee over the weekend but Swiss international Inler was not keen. His agent held talks with Leicester on Monday. Inler, who joined Napoli from Udinese in 2011, would be a replacement for Esteban Cambiasso, who decided against signing a new contract with the Foxes after his one-year deal expired. Radio Leicester were talking last night about it being completed in the next 24 hours, but nothing has suggested that. People see a report saying we've agreed a deal with Napoli and take that as the signing is imminent. Agreeing a fee with the club is just the first step and if reports are to be believed he isn't keen on coming here. Just because his agent is talking to us doesn't mean it's close, he's probably just seeing what sort of cash we are offering, if only to use it in negotiations with other clubs.
