Weller in Tights Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I've seen and heard a number of opinions of pundits about how our atmosphere helped get us across the line last season. In my 54 years, I have to admit the tail end of the season was special. I'm one of those who often harks back to the best days of Filbert Street, but I have to admit, the atmosphere at the end of last season was brilliant. Our players and ex manager have said how much it helped. I really hope we can replicate it at the start straight away from this Saturday. The Tifo will help to kick start us all. Well done Union FS for that. I only hope we don't have a load of fans who are turning up waiting for us to fail as a team, so they can say "I told you so" with regards Pearson. I go down with three others and our kids. I know one of my mates will be in that category ( The 'I told you so' brigade). I just hope they all still get behind the team.

Exactly how I feel, I'm 47 and the atmosphere at the end of last season was as good as anything I saw at Filbert Street. I'm all for keeping it going but I know the anti clapper brigade will be out there lurking. Yes I know people have hands, but the clappers encourage people to join in. Yes someone on Twitter who's club's home games are on par with a visit to a library will call us tinpot. I don't care. Make some noise!!
Unabomber Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Having lost our conductor in Pearson I would be very surprised if we managed to make anywhere near the same atmosphere. I hope I am proved wrong though.
Soup Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Personally I see the departure of the manager as a reason to make more noise.Lets push them on,we're here for our city and nothing else.
Frank to be Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Every game at the end of last season was like a cup final whereas now we're back to run of the mill early season league games. Plus you've got the poisonous NPFC faction who have yet to find a new club (not even being linked with new clubs - strange isn't it?), and real fans of the club who are to be convinced by ranieri, which all adds up to the atmosphere starting off a bit flat.
Raj Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 We MUST be the 12th man and not sit on our laurels thinking the end of last season was a given. We as fans were remarkable at times last season, truely epic. And it helped.Make no mistake about that.We will have another long season by the look of things so its upto us to make the difference. You want Premier League next season? You better make some fooking noise bitch!!!

NPFC because no jobs are available? Real fans the same real fans that were never convinced by Pearson who brought two promotions? Jesus Christ, man. Grow up.

tomtom Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 The reason the atmosphere was so good was because of the situation we were in, and the sheer desperation for a win..... We're back to the start now, where hopefully we can still create a great atmosphere but it won't be exactly the same

Fvck me. This is what annoys me. One minute it's "you've got to move on" yet the only people that still bring Pearson up are people like you.

Live in the moment and let's help make the good stuff happen!

Do us a favour mate and stay at home tomorrow.
Frank to be Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Do us a favour mate and stay at home tomorrow. Not a chance. I'll be there in full voice outperforming the moaners, showing support to Leicester City. You can stay at home though if you've a mind to be one of the poisonous NPFC faction. We don't need you. You'll be in a huge minority out of the fans who actually go to games.

Nauseous, but also proof that I didn't bring Pearson up in this thread.
foxfanazer Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Hope so. Last season it was so visible that we were making a huge difference. Rallying the players after we conceded made me proud of our fans
Lestoh Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I tried being the 12th man once, got charged for pitch invading and had a restraining order taken out by Ignasi Miguel.

I'm fully behind Ranieri, yet even so I find you unbelievably condescending and irritating.
Ashley Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 All depends if we are happy clapping or not. We have too many shy fans who are don't use their hands to create noise... Simple as that really.

Dan Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Well that just confirms for sure that Frank To Be definitely is an undisputed pillock.
sdb Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Last half a dozen games of last season were such fun and the atmosphere we created was immense. No doubt for me it played a big part in our success. Need to get straight back to it tomorrow. No sitting, waiting, moaning or grumbling.
Frank to be Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Well that just confirms for sure that Frank To Be definitely is an undisputed pillock. That I'm being criticised for wanting to support the club says it all. This forum is well out of sync with the real fan base.
