Big spending Coaches

After the Stringer/Chilean Tosser to Bayer04 debacle, something lighter to discuss.

My local daily free News Paper here in Austria (Heute), had an article today about the top 6 spending coaches around the World, in terms of transfer fees paid out at the various Clubs they have managed.

Not sure how accurate these numbers are as many Transfer Fees are, as we know. in fact un-disclosed.

But here goes - One surprise!

1. Jose Mourinho - 1,000,000,000 (all Euros)

2. Carlo Ancelotti -    952,790,000

3. Sir Alex F         -    783,850,000

4. M. Pellegrini     -    738,550,000

5. A. Wenger        -    683,640,000

6. C. Ranieri         -    664,420,000 :trumpet:

Personally, I would have thought Brendan Rogers would have been in there somewhere given he buys more expensive Turkeys than Asda's do in the run-up to Christmas.

No Sean Dyche either surprisingly :)

Rogers only really started throwing money around when he joined Liverpool, so he's only got three years of it. It'd be interesting to how this pans out compared their years in management. For instance Mourinho has spent £300m+ more than Wenger, but hasn't been in management anywhere near as long.

Ranieri's only on that list because: The initial money from Abramovich, managing some of the world's elite, taking over at Monaco.

Wouldn't really read in to actual spending figures, it's all about the value of the player you've spent on.

Pellegrini and especially Ranieri's trophy haul seems a bit meagre for that level of spending.

As a Burnley fan I'd be so p***ed off with that...mind you, I'd be p***ed off if I was a Burnely fan anyway!

jesus! wouldn't spend next to nothing in the prem now wants to spend 9 million on him in the champ? CRazy

One day Sean Dyche will wake up and not be either a total cock or flaming hypocrite.  Nobody will notice though because we'll be too busy fending off the Deep Ones and Elder Things.

In Dyche's defense they have just lost a £9m striker in Danny Ings, that source of goal will need replacing and as we've seen with the price of Nugent strikers carry an unbelievable premium even at Championship level.

No idea why everyone hates on Dyche so much. Thought he was pretty classy on whole last season. Unless someone can shed some light?

His put on fake poshifying of words is annoying though 'glass' = 'glars' doesn't fit with his accent at all.

Basically said we'd bought the league, we can't compete with such market leaders, many many pound notes, insufferable gravel throat, hypocrite, basically wrote Burnley off because they can't compete with such powerhouses and other annoying shit

Never heard him say that about us to be honest. Wrong of course to say such a thing as in reality most of our Championship winning squad didnt cost me to assemble. Any link to such comments?

I actually felt he did with the insulting manner in which Pearson spoke about Burnley after the 2-2 pretty well. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/apr/24/burnley-sean-dyche-leicester-relegation-battle
