LCFC FOX Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 I really liked darius Vassel when he was here. Don't know why just enjoyed watching him. Others have to be Hume, Fryatt, Dyer, Waghorn, Bamba, Naughton, Drinkwater, Vardy, Kasper, Cambiasso.
FoxyJim1987 Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Muzzy Izzet number 1 by miles for me, best memories are Watford play off goal Nutmegs villa defender then scored at villa park in 3-1 win in 97 I was there Kung fu kick s corner flag after scoring v forest That volley v spurs Goal v leeds last minute league cup qf from about 50 yards Overhead v grimsby - still to this day feel so lucky I was there to witness it. He had itall - skill, vision, goals, set pieces, but above all passion, desire and loyalty. An absolute legend.
fox766 Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 What about carl muggleton, theo zagorakis, phill gee, lee (pisspot) phillpot, colin hill, gary coatsworth. Ok i'm stopping there going off topic just naming old players now also feeling old now remembering them.
sdb Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Heskey and Izzet the 2 big ones. Loads that i've loved but not as much as them (Elliott, Guppy, Kisnorbo I always liked (partly because he was the only lcfc player I booed and immediately hated myself)). Several of NP's first squad and there are a few in the current one too: Wasyl, Mahrez and definitely Jeff Schlupp for some reason who I just love. Reckon Kante and Okasaki have massive cult hero potential too.
corbyfox1884 Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Weller- legend in tights ! Wallington- wouldve been an England regular if born in a different era. Glover- increased the decibels at Filbert St whenever he got the ball Wortho- because he's Wortho ! Rob Ullathorne- always gave 100% and didnt see him do much wrong Emile- local lad who got his wallet out when it mattered. The Birch- for everything he's done for the club. Lineker- see above.
bovril Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Ooh Tommy, Whitlow, Parker, Lennon, Muz (Christ what a midfield), Sinclair, Dickov, err... Connolly maybe..... King, Cambi, Mahrez.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 It's always been either quick or skilful attacking players for me, so my list is: Tommy Wright Julian Joachim Scott Taylor Muzzy Izzet Maxi Gradel Lloyd Dyer Anthony Knockaert Jamie Vardy Riyad Mahrez
bovril Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Another vote for Zagorakis. A class player and an absolute gent.
pleatout Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Paul Ramsey - never less than 100% even when he was having a bad game Laurie Cunningham - so good he looked carp because no one was on the same level. Bob Hazel - a carthorse with the speed of a thoroughbred, although I wouldn't tell him that to his face.
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Steve Walsh Pontus Kaamark Matt Elliott Muzzy Izzet Andy King Lloyd Dyer Anthony Knockaert Jamie Vardy
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Keller, Savage, Izzet, Dickov, Hume, King, Berner, Bamba, Dyer, Knockaert.

Russell sprout Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Flowers, Elliott, Walsh, Kaamark, Izzet, Lennon, Savage, Cottee, Ian Marshall, Zagorakis, Rowett, Heskey, Claridge, Vardy, Wasilevski, Dyer, Albrighton, Huth, Frank Sinclair, There's to many to name.

Great selection, although can't say Rowett ever excited me!
oakman Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Guppy and Kaamark . Also, always liked Matty Piper even though he only had a few games before being sold.
Foreverfox Posted 13 August 2015 Posted 13 August 2015 Not necessarily one of my fav players but deffo one of my fav memories was the debut v Wolves for a then 19 year old Russell Hoult. Sitting in the stands ready to watch the game with his hotdog in his hand.Muggleton gets injured in the warm up and Hoult has to come down from the stands to make his debut in the live T.V game. He was outstanding and the rest is history. The papers dubbed him "The hot dog kid" Happy memories. God we were sooooo rubbish in those days!
LCFC FOX Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 It's always been either quick or skilful attacking players for me, so my list is: Tommy Wright Julian Joachim Scott Taylor Muzzy Izzet Maxi Gradel Lloyd Dyer Anthony Knockaert Jamie Vardy Riyad Mahrez you not like Vassel then? Exactly why I liked watching him play, skill full had some pace on him and scored a few
Lesta2014 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Lots of players I like but from Peter Taylor through to holloway I cannot think of any players through that time who I really liked! Izzett etc I'm excluding as were here under o'neil.
AKCJ Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I really liked darius Vassel when he was here. Don't know why just enjoyed watching him. Others have to be Hume, Fryatt, Dyer, Waghorn, Bamba, Naughton, Drinkwater, Vardy, Kasper, Cambiasso. I'm genuinely sorry that you didn't get to see MON's team.
Fox92 Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 First player I really liked was Paul Dickov, I started going regular around the 01/02 time. Nowadays, Vardy, because he doesn't stop.
SB87_LCFC Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Muzzy, Walshy, Lennon, Heskey, Claridge, Cottee, Elliott, Marshall Dickov, Ian Walker, Fryatt, Hume, Freund, Ferdinand, Joey G, Bamba, Lloyd Dyer (PACE) Kingy, Kasper, Knocky, Cambiasso, Wasyl, Vardy, Matty James, Mahrez, and the soon to be Boro Boy David Nugent!
Weller in Tights Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 Been going down City since 1968. Loads of players have impressed, loads have been very forgettable. But the ones I've enjoyed watching the most were: Shilton -best Goalie I've ever seen. Whitworth Weller - if Mahrez gets half as good as Weller I'll be pleased. Worthington - just such fun Heskey - incredibly underrated. Savage - not the greatest footballer but very entertaining. Izzett Walsh - loved his aggressive no nonsense approach. Vardy - love the way he irritates defences. You could see Premier league defenders last season going "what the F***" when he chased the ball down. Cambiasso - world class, so glad I got to see a player of his quality in a City shirt.
LCFC FOX Posted 14 August 2015 Posted 14 August 2015 I'm genuinely sorry that you didn't get to see MON's team. as am I, my first full season as a ST holder was the season we got relegated to league one. Luckily apart from that first season everything has been on the up!
