Spudulike Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 We got away with it today. Had Kasper gone in the first half we would've had an academy player between the sticks. Very risky but always a possibility having to rely on a 42 year old to be fit and ready. With Hamer out on loan (and conceding 6 in his first 2 games) it seems that a new 'keeper must be incoming. Surprised there has been very little rumour or speculation on who that might be. Unless I've missed it
Jimmy Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Claudio said he wants 1 but find a good 1 willing to sit on his arse all season

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 New back up keeper is a must. Hamer would be ideal back up but seems he wants first team football which is credit to him
Jimmy Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Don't forget we do have an immediate recall on Hamer if Kasper gets a serious injury
Frank to be Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 It would be interesting to do some proper analysis, assuming you were guaranteed to lose the game should your goalkeeper get sent off during the game, how many games would you actually lose in an average season? My suspicious would be few. If the keeper gets a long term injury you bring in an emergency loan. The only real risk is a short term injury for which you can't get an emergency loan. How many short term injuries do keepers get? Is it worth the risk? My suspicion would be no. I can on football manager, but the club can't. The club can't.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 I have to say, at the moment we've got the Schmeichel of the start of last season not the Schmeichel of the end of last season. Needs to sort himself out because when we play better teams than West Ham and Sunderland we'll get punished.
Zorro Colombiano Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 quizas Maddoson seria la proxima Mark Wallington? Todovia mejor de Shilton
Livid Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 I have to say, at the moment we've got the Schmeichel of the start of last season not the Schmeichel of the end of last season. Needs to sort himself out because when we play better teams than West Ham and Sunderland we'll get punished. I think playing the big three at the back and having Leo around to help out at set pieces, helped with his confidence. We're going four at the back now and he is what he is.
