The Year Of The Fox Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 I'm now seriously debating if there's time after work to get to the Switzerland game! Tickets have temporarily been taken off sale due to tube strikes
Vlad the Fox Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 Maybe because he plays for wales? usually just behind Taffy Mahrez. Who supplies our Scottish striker Jockazaki.
Illusion35 Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 Tickets have temporarily been taken off sale due to tube strikes Thanks - hope they call the strike off soon and reopen sales!
Maggie's town fox Posted 31 August 2015 Posted 31 August 2015 Wouldn't be surprised to see Scott Sinclair pushing for a call up before the Euro's if he keeps scoring for Villa, starting to find his previous Swansea form again?
Itsblueuptnorth Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 It's a little embarrassing tbh. if you compared the stats on Ryan Mason to many other players you would really ask yourself why has he been picked. http://www.squawka.com/comparison-matrix#premier_league/2015/2016/ryan_mason/165/165/3816/0/p|premier_league/2015/2016/marc_albrighton/165/165/413/315/p|premier_league/2015/2016/mark_noble/165/165/898/0/p|premier_league/2015/2016/lee_cattermole/165/165/786/0/p|premier_league/2015/2016/jason_puncheon/165/165/732/169/p#assists/chances_created/goals_scored/tackles_won/tackles_lost/aerial_duels_won_%/defensive_errors/yellow_cards#total Yeah, no
fuchsntf Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Vardy, could well play on Saturday, then bench against the swiss. Like many, just want to see him return with no injuries...Then it begins, can we we be led on the great magical mystery tour of the heady hights of top 6 until christmas, or even beyond. Vardy is living his dream, can he help foxes fans live theirs...??.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Thanks - hope they call the strike off soon and reopen sales! Strikes been called off so I presune tickets are back on sale but I haven't looked
Illusion35 Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 Strikes been called off so I presune tickets are back on sale but I haven't looked They don't appear to be yet which is pretty annoying, surely the FA want to sell as many as they can!
Buzzell Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Roy confirms Vardy STARTS! And now I'm over the ****ing moon!! Well done Vardy. Throughly deserved!
lgfualol Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 **** sake I'm on a cvnting flight for the whole game!!!
lcfcsnow Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Great news for him but they'll be next to no space to run into for the entire match.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Fan-f**king-tastic, can't wait to see how he does.
Babylon Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 He'd be better against teams leaving a bit of space. 11 men behind the ball not really made for him. Not forgetting the slow ponderous build up play, rather than quick ball.
Guest Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Dont think a call up after 7 prem league goals in 40 or so games is 'thoroughly deserved' but hope he runs riot.
NewburyFox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Dont think a call up after 7 prem league goals in 40 or so games is 'thoroughly deserved' but hope he runs riot. After watching Vardy for more than three seasons how can you not see that his game is about much more than just goals?
Finnaldo Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Dont think a call up after 7 prem league goals in 40 or so games is 'thoroughly deserved' but hope he runs riot. He's the only striker in the squad to score this season and he's got an assist alongside that, plus a higher shot accuracy. That's without going into the pace and threat he contains. Going by stats so far this season he should be starting both games really.
Guest Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 After watching Vardy for more than three seasons how can you not see that his game is about much more than just goals? Lots of pace. Poor first touch. Average in front of goal. Not much brain. He's won me over but I'm not gonna pretend he's International standard.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 I can sense the FIFA virgins losing their minds on Twitter already

He's won me over but I'm not gonna pretend he's International standard. Why not? 1. Anyone is international standard when you're up against plumbers and bin men as centre backs. He knows no better than to be as direct as he is. Hopefully hes too old to have that coached out of him.
NewburyFox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Lots of pace. Poor first touch. Average in front of goal. Not much brain. He's won me over but I'm not gonna pretend he's International standard. Depends what you mean by international standard. You said him starting wasn't "thoroughly deserved" but currently he's the on-form English striker in the Premier League. Kane isn't playing well, Berahino and Ings aren't playing, Deeney isn't playing well, Austin is now in the Championship so who else is there who Vardy shouldn't be starting ahead of? If you compare him to England regular starting strikers of days gone by then obviously he doesn't compare, but at the moment he's one of the best we have. I'd disagree about his touch too, it's improved incredible amounts since he's been here and it looks much sharper even compared to last season. As for his brain, he's never going to be the most intelligent of strikers but it seems to me that he's making better runs than he used to and using his pace and energy much more wisely.

Whole point really of International football for a nation like England is to win major trophies - If Vardy wont be part of a major tournament what is the point in his involvement now? He scores 4 tonight so be it - I wouldnt change my mind based on goals v bin men and plumbers as you call it. Leicester fans like all fans are so one eyed its unreal. No objectivity at all. It's like at Bournemouth Gradel being hacked to pieces and you've got m0ngs seething with rage calling him a diver. HOW DARE YOU SAY ANYTHING NOT ULTRA POSITIVE ABOUT LEICESTER/A LEICESTER PLAYER YOU HAVE NO LOYALTY.
Samilktray Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 Would Callum Wilson not be the most inform English striker at the moment tbf
johnny the fox Posted 4 September 2015 Posted 4 September 2015 He starts ..you couldn't make it up....from fleetwood to leading the England attack...what a story..made up for the lad !
