Koke Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Kante slotted in well and looked very comfortable. Looked like he had 50 caps rather than it being his first, he didn't look out of place at all. Couple of more games and he will shine I am sure of it. Decent game all around for him.
Brainy Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 You don't have to leave the field on a stretcher to have picked up an injury
LAprice_ Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Solid and consistent from Kante. I was laughed at 4/5 months ago when I suggested Matuidi, Pogba and Kante will all be on the pitch together at some point.
HoustonFox Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I know I'm exagerrating a bit Still he had a couple tackles and at least one key interception which led to a dangerous counter and shot from Pogba, which would make it 3-1 if converted. Well done to our lad! Haha, I forgive you. It is wondrous to see him in the French line up and by "comfortable" I meant completely at home. Played very well.
Izzy Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Mahrez with 2 assists... I remember when there were no such term as an 'assist' in football. I wonder when it suddenly came into the game? You used to 'set one up' for your team mates or 'lay it on' for someone - but never an 'assist'.

Rincewind Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 came with more technology Came in when USA started to play the game and our pundits copied them.
Izzy Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 came with more technology Yeah, that figures I suppose... I thought it might have had something to do with video games terminology or maybe football suddenly deciding to use an American sports term for some reason..
Izzy Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Came in when USA started to play the game and our pundits copied them. I was kinda right then. Good ol soccer...
foxes161 Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I think it's the right route really, as assists are the key to scoring after all.
Chester Dontlie Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Haha, I forgive you. It is wondrous to see him in the French line up and by "comfortable" I meant completely at home. Played very well. I expected him to be much more nervous but it's like someone above said, Kante looked like he had 50 caps under his belt. As for him bossing French team, it might be difficult if not impossible, even when he'll have more caps than that. They have so many star players (Pogba, Payet, Griezmann, Giroud... ), everyone of them wants to have the ball and shine. N'Golo on the other hand always seems so humble. I bet he wants to be a good friends with everyone even with his opponents. When he fouled Klassen, he seemed genuinely concerned and run to pat him on the back! Apart from being a gentle giant like that - he's a true team player.
Izzy Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 I think it's the right route really, as assists are the key to scoring after all. Maybe. I just remember a time when they weren't measured and we were no worse off. Not sure what the benefit is of keeping an 'assist' tally apart from points in your fantasy team. Wouldn't surprise me if players ended up on an 'assist' bonus one day
LCFCFOX6190 Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Mahrez and Kante bossing games as usual. Just hope they all come back fully fit
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Maybe. I just remember a time when they weren't measured and we were no worse off. Wouldn't surprise me if players ended up on an 'assist' bonus one day Seems to mainly be so Arsenal can win something.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Couldn't care less about internationals as long as our lads come home unscathed. I am a bit sick so may watch England to see if Walker, Dier, Alli or Kane get injured.
Chester Dontlie Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Mahrez and Kante bossing games as usual. Just hope they all come back fully fit So he WAS bossing it after all Yes. I think it's the right route really, as assists are the key to scoring after all. Well I'd rather revert to ye olde "lay ons" and "set ups" and get rid of half the stats and these silly heat maps (would only keep the score and goal line technology, thank you)... but since we cant turn back time, assists it is. It's a numbers' game now, in so many aspects. This probably belongs to different thread really
Izzy Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Seems to mainly be so Arsenal can win something. "Ozil had a stinker. He missed two open goals, kept misplacing his passes, couldn't put a tackle in and didn't bother tracking back. But all is forgiven because the ball deflected off his arse and he got the magic assist" #kingofassists
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 Here's praying that Dier, Rose, Alli and Kane all pick up injuries. Not fussed if either Vardy or Drinky play to be fair... need them ready for Saints

Unfortunately this is likely to be a similar starting line up for the euros. Seriously..... Clyne, Henderson, Lallana should be nowhere near the starting line up!
kyleolly Posted 25 March 2016 Posted 25 March 2016 **** England I don't want our players playing for them shit kit, shit manager
