Bit old but the fees are all over the place for this guy. In the last year Stoke and Newcastle both reportedly interested with bids of £3m and £7m. Seems a bit low, even Transfermarkt who usually value below the true amount say he is £8m+. He was a regular in the champions league last season, not sure why he would give that up, but if he does it will be a coup for us.

Sounds promising at the end, where they say Sporting do not want to lose him to rivals Porto on a free at the end of this season. If I were them I would take our 12m.

getting the club to agree isn't the problem, it's getting the player to agree, although we're a top prem side and he wants to leave so who knows

 

if bayer, west ham and marseille bugger off we've got him

The only reports I can find of his latest contract say he has a salary of just above £20k. We can easily beat that, so there could be hope.

In the CR era shouldn't we be using the term tinkered with rather than rotated?
