Livid Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Has anyone actually got to London in a an hour? Ps Our owners are not allowed to answer this question. Technically possible although I wouldn't want to think about the number of points picked up doing a 100mph plus through all those average speed cameras.
st albans fox Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Has anyone considered that he might be a replacement for mahrez who is being courted by Arsenal? Just throwing that out there like.... You aren't the only one thinking like that re wide players. one minute a Birmingham teenager is good enough for our swag but a week later........... Maybe not today but certainly come January.
Callabinho Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 This will be a day of rejected bids, and then we will finally reveal Antonio at midnight following a whole day of chasing shadows!
st albans fox Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 This will be a day of rejected bids, and then we will finally reveal Antonio at midnight following a whole day of chasing shadows! I know our press dept are slow but that's a long time after the window shuts at 6pm!

Most of that work on the M1 is supposed to finish in the next couple of months. There may still be hope yet!
Finnegan Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Has anyone actually got to London in a an hour? Ps Our owners are not allowed to answer this question. It's not taken me more than 75 minutes to get to London in years. It's called a train. They're not even that shit when you can afford first class either.
st albans fox Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Most of that work on the M1 is supposed to finish in the next couple of months. There may still be hope yet!All the gantry cameras once you reach the three lane 'smart' section and beyond are in operation. unless you have a blue flashing light or a Russian number plate, you're screwed!I second the train in first class if money no issue.

Ric Flair Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 So not an hour then 55 minutes for me on the train from Nuneaton, that said it takes me longer than 5 mins to get to Nuneaton so forget it.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 So not an hour then 1 hour 2 minutes if you get the right train

MC Prussian Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 1 hour 2 minutes if you get the right train Which is a big "if".
Jon the Hat Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 I believe helicopters are faster than cars and trains
Guest Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Has anyone actually got to London in a an hour? Ps Our owners are not allowed to answer this question. In the 80's I actually drove from Leicester to Kensington in exactly 1 hour. early in the morning, so much less traffic and no cameras. Averaged 100mph. Of course to do this was highly irresponsible and I'd call out anyway who drove like that nowadays.
Merging Cultures Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 I believe helicopters are faster than cars and trains That's a fair point. I wonder how much it costs? EDIT: As an example, this article says "It might cost £5,500 to fly to Newquay and back, but that could be eight people and 45 minutes flight time so it's ideal if you've got business down there. If you are running a business that's two days travel that you've saved." So, it should cost less to London, and be quicker. Callabinho Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 How come it closes at six? We won't sign anyone then, unless bids get accepted first time we won't have time to faff about like we usually do.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Which is a big "if". Of course it's not, train timetables are hardly a revolutionary development. I can't remember the last train I got to Leicester which took longer than an hour and 5.
Finnegan Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Which is a big "if".It's not a big if. The direct trains all vary from an hour and two to an hour and eight, they're all fairly regular. My last trip was about 64 minutes.
The Doctor Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Which is a big "if". Not really, there's 2/3 of those an hour, and the other one only takes about an hour and 15.

Nick Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 So is this thread at only page 6 discussing how long it might take Andre Carillo's girlfriend to get to London? Really?
