Deucalion Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Here's a plug for my favourite obsession, motorcycles can hold 150 all day and don't have forward facing number plates. Therefore immune to average speed cameras. Also, most helicopters are not that fast. #getamotorbike
HitchinFox Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 So is this thread at only page 6 discussing how long it might take Andre Carillo's girlfriend to get to London? Really? Look, we need to get to 100 pages by 5.55pm or the deal is off.
LesG Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Pretty sure I managed Hendon to junction 21 in around the hour mark back in the 80s. I had a Spanish girlfriend too. I'm not sure that made any difference though. We must nearly be at page 7.

Spanish GF is the defining factor in this, they only eat tapas and everyone knows this never fills you up meaning you can travel a little faster.
ClaphamFox Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Junction 21 to the North Circular can be done in an hour if the traffic isn't too bad and there are no maintenance works going on. Typically it takes 80-90mins though.
muzzycomeback Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 How long does it take to get to Brighton? I hear there's some nice Spanish restaurants there that his girlfriend might enjoy...
Swarles Barkley Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 *Wakes up filled with excitement over carrillo transfer* Sees only talk of how his gf is getting to london. You've done it once again foxestalk" Bravo

Ah, now see you got me there. I thought you were going to say they only ate tapas so you didn't need to stop at a motorway services for a whopper and onion rings.
Livid Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 I think Nando's at Freemans Common could be pivotal in this deal going through.
filbertstreet Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 she's a tennis player, just tell her we've got some courts in abbey park
fazzyfox Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 Ryan Air claim to do a helicopter flight to London for £40 but after surcharges it's just under seven grand. Easycopter are cheaper but elastic bands are involved in the design. Maybe we could move our base closer to London, I hear there's some prime development sites in the Milton Keynes area.....
weller54 Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 she's a tennis player, just tell her we've got some courts in abbey park Ace posting mate!
LesG Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 she's a tennis player, just tell her we've got some courts in abbey park Genius! Get on the phone to the club now!!
Guybino Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 optimistic, according to sport witness SCP will let him go for around 14mill euros. Contract ends at the end of the season so they will lose him for free.
Finnegan Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 14m Euros isn't really out of our budget tbh. Especially given a few million of that will be conditional bonuses etc. The bigger obstacle is convincing the player. That is if we're even interested.
Vindaloo FOX Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 if we pull this off i will put it up there with the Cambiasso & Inler deals but they took donkey years to happen so to think this deal will be done by 6pm today is far fetched in my opinion.
MPH Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 The average passenger helicopter can travel at 150 miles an hour when you consider as the crow flies it's way faster than any train car or motorbike
Deucalion Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 The average passenger helicopter can travel at 150 miles an hour when you consider as the crow flies it's way faster than any train CR or motorbike My bike will do 150 and it's more of a tourer. Sports bikes go 160-170 and hyperbikes are close to or exceed 200mph. But this was on a different thread !! Edit - No it wasn't !!

It's one of the good things about it IMO. In four months he can talk freely to anyone about a Bosman, if his club can't convince him to sign I'm sure they would rather get a fee now as he'll be worth nothing in nine months and a lot less in January. The player has a few hours to make his mind up so can't mess us about for weeks hoping to attract a better move. My guess is he'll probably run his contract down and assess his options on a Bosman.

Guest Posted 1 September 2015 Posted 1 September 2015 What the deuce! hate the way people take advantage of a serious thread to make puns.
