You people SUCK!

I was going to start a thread about this last week.

The match thread is where we discus what is happening during the match, in real time, when emotions are running high. If we were playing well people would be making positive comments, if we go 2-0 down and aren't playing well people are going to be venting their frustration, especially when we know the team can play better.

At the end of the game, when the dust settles we make more considered comments (well ok not everyone  ) about the game as a whole. But just as if you were at the game singing, and shouting, the match thread is a forum for us to express our thoughts and emotions as the game progresses.

So what you mean is it's ok to slag us of and say we are shi@t when we are loosing but when we come back and get a result we are great again you love the team and our the number 1 fan again? Fickle Fickle Fickle

I stopped reading at "loosing"

It's not all negative nancies but there must be some posters tired of getting egg on their faces week after week. Maybe time to man up and acknowledge that Ranieri has made a superb start to his time here.

In as much as I'm tired of getting to half time and saying "Ranieri needs to change it up at half time, because we're second best by far". You can't argue with the points tally, and the come backs are more than welcome, Ranieri is clearly getting his changes right but Christ, we need to remember that the match starts at kick off, not at half time.

so when we concede a ridiculous goal to go 2-0 down to a team joint bottom of the league you want all the comments to be what? "playing really well guys love you"? even if we are actually playing shit?

we were shit in the first half and we were good in the second, not sure why you're crying about anyone pointing that out?

Posted

You watch the first half pal? we were worse than gash. No one was saying we were shite, just that we were playing shite and well below our capabilities.

Apart from the De Laet bashing. He is quite bad though.

Think you missed his point.

We are Leicester City. We are going to play crap football it's going to happen. If the champions Chelsea are going to have bad games, we sure as heck will as well.

Beginning to think this good start to the season have given some fans a delusion of grandeur

The most annoying thing for me is the constant 'we should be playing 3-5-2 as Pearson found the winning formula'. Well 3 points off top shows our formation isn't doing too bad this season!

we've got out of jail in the last 2 games we won't keep coming back from 2-0 down, and 3-5-2 was more solid for us

It'll probably be at least 3 seasons until the word "Pearson" disappears from every match threadd.

Look at the table. I don't care if we concede in every match this season, if we score the same or more.

its not conceding that's the problem its going 2-0 down, we conceded against Sunderland no one complained

Geebus guys, some of the reactions in the match thread are pathetic.

Weve a great squad, who have treated us for the past 6 months to some stunning football, how about not chucking your toys out of the pram the minute we go behind.

This, absolutely absolutely this!

Some people on here are so fickle it's embarrassing. We have 12 points in 6 games - we're getting points when we're falling behind, even by 2 goals.

Some people need to get a life and find something else to moan about.

Well I don't care if we go down 2-0 in every match. Again so long as we score the same or more at full time.

well then you're an idiot because we won't keep doing that

What's to say 3-5-2 would have got us to 2nd in the table? You are clearly the idiot for thinking you know more than a very experienced manager.

I appreciate what you're saying but Ranieri is still finding his feet with this team. He's allowed a few failed tactical experiments and in fairness, there's not a lot a manager can do about individual errors like Morgan today or about a limited squad when it's not the transfer window.

A bit of perspective wouldn't hurt either, people are expressing genuine exasperation that we're not steam rolling every single team straight from kick off. Taken as a measure of how far we've come that is incredible.

He has had a great start, much better than I imagined or hoped for. im not intentionally being negative here but the wheels have to come off eventually don't they, this is Leicester, nothing's this good for long.

Yes, but it's not a few tactical experiments - the first thing Walsh and Shakespeare should have told him when he came in was that we saw all last season that the full backs are sloppy defensively but stunning going forward, they need to be upgraded or played in a set up that covers for their limitations, and that we don't have the quality to play possession football. We know that any 4-x-x formation doesn't cover adequately for De Laet, it probably won't for Schlupp but having Albrighton ahead of him aids Jeff the way Mahrez doesn't for De Laet. Either they haven't, and the fault is on them, or Ranieri has ignored them, which is a massive worry - but we've set up to cripple ourselves the past two games, and did so to a lesser extent vs Bournemouth.

He's spotting and fixing the mistakes quickly, which is to his credit, but he's then making the same mistakes (like playing Inler) the following week.

Any change in the formation to sure up the defence comes at the cost of an attacking threat. Maybe Claudio values, for example, Mahez as a purely attacking winger so much that he's willing to accept and work on the defensive frailties. His selections seem to be more about playing to our strengths than trying to cover for our weaknesses and that's fine by me.

What would you suggest with Inler? Just never playing him again after one uninspiring 45 minutes in a half where the whole team played poorly? No good manager writes off players so quickly.

Why don't you attack the post and not the poster. Calling people idiots is a bit common!

He's clearly off the pace so start him on the bench and bring him in with 20 or so minutes left if we're winning to get a low pressure introduction to the pace of the premiership, as well as fielding him in the cup matches.

Passions run high in the match thread. Just avoid it. When people are making kneejerk statements after they've had a chance to cool down then have a pop by all means, but it's only natural for people to get over emotional whilst the game is in play.
