Darkon84 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 You know perfectly well what I meant. I didn't say he was as bad as Hitler anywhere, nor did I suggest he was about to embark on a genocide. I think people need to look up the word "esque" and realise that it doesn't mean "exactly the same as in every single way". I'm fully aware of how adding 'esque' to the end of something affects it, though generally when people mention Hitler, as said above, it tends to be comparing something of similar severity. What part makes it Hitler-esque, and in what way then? I'd say it's perfectly acceptable to allow you to elaborate on what you were trying to get at.

You know that I'm talking about the 'Muslims being able to enter the US' story and not the 'certain parts of London' story?
Rincewind Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 You know that I'm talking about the 'Muslims being able to enter the US' story and not the 'certain parts of London' story? I can have a good guess what you meant and was not referring to the war years particularly but more to his early rule and rise to fame during Germany's depression years.
Merging Cultures Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 There is no reason why the police can't enter areas of London, or anywhere in the UK. Flood the places with bobbies, show force and put the wankers behind bars.

Darkon84 Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 The whole thing about 'no-go areas' was done to death months and months ago, simply because some so called expert on Fox News (says it all), said he had it on good authority it was the case, and the same with Birmingham. Fox were forced to come clean and he had to apologise. Seriously, anyone who takes anything Fox or Trump says seriously, or gets pissy about it, should have a long hard look at themselves. What he said about temporarily stopping muslims entering the US was a statement of immense stupidity, designed to get more air time and free press, which it has obviously achieved. When it comes down to Hitler comparisons, there's a huge difference between saying something stupid, and actually gaining control of a country and then having the will and strength to enforce it.
Guest MattP Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 I wasn't wumming. I asked a question which, considering the strength of the negative reaction against Trump's comments, should have been easy to answer. The aim was to show how people are conditioned to react to certain triggers without thinking about the issues for themselves. Here we see a very strong negative reaction, but no simple explanation as to why. Take it as a compliment. There is certainly a condition a lot of people are suffering from these days where they struggle to get through a day without being outraged about something, it baffles me.

I think we could easily find Rincey at least But with NY they focused on petty crime and brought done the serious crime rate significantly. The UK needs to do the same if they have 'no go' areas.
Thracian Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 You do know he bought a 50 mil yacht of a Muslim sheik and sold one of his businesses to a Muslim royal family. So he does not have Islamophobic feelings for all Muslims. Just those riff raff who do not have money. Or who want to shoot kids in schools, bomb trade centres or learn to fly planes at American centres so they can facilitate their anti-social intentions. Tell me Rincey. Why would you invite anyone into your society who doesn't genuinely want to be a part of it? Cos I wouldn't and if I did invite someone and they betrayed that trust, they'd be out in no time. But then I wouldn't ever have signed the Human rights legislation and I'd never have sold our soul to the unelected self-servers of the European Union Parliament.
AKCJ Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 I can have a good guess what you meant and was not referring to the war years particularly but more to his early rule and rise to fame during Germany's depression years. Hitler didn't want the Jews to enter/be in the countries he had power in. Trump doesn't want Muslims to enter the country he wants power in. That was all I meant, it's a throwaway comment at best.

There are countless no-go areas in the UK. Anyone doubting that is determined not to see them.

I'm pretty sure the whole of Birmingham was outraged and forced an apology from the chap on Fox for labelling it as having numerous no-go areas where only muslims are allowed. I may well agree with you however, if you care to point out these countless areas.

Nor did I say or imply that they were to do with either Muslims or Birmingham (where I've worked, where my middle son lives and which I know well having even been there today - and quite safely!). Besides you don't sound like the kind of guy who'd take my word for it whatever I said. But by all means do your own search if it matters to you.

Believe it or not, I'm a fairly balanced person and if I'm wrong, then I'll put my hand up and admit it and will listen to anyone's side of the story if they care to share or explain. Considering the previous posts had mentioned Birmingham as one of the areas, I thought it may have been on the table for discussion, and considering what Trump has been saying and what people have been discussing, I thought it was assumed that too, was on topic. It really doesn't matter too much to me at all, you raised a point saying there are countless areas, so I merely followed on from that, thinking you may elaborate to prove your point.
Stadt Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 The worst thing he's done this week was speaking in third person

I haven't heard about any true no-go areas in England but there are a couple of areas in Marseille and Paris where that is true. It's time for the special forces to go into these areas which would involve door to door fighting and clear them out. It would cost lives but there shouldn't be any areas where the police cannot police let alone cannot step foot.

I don't need to prove it. Nor do I have any great desire to condemn any area, because no matter how organised it might be, there's always good people coping with the situation and still setting a bloody good example against all the odds and without a word of complaint. But I will tell you this. It's hard for a lay person to even recognise they're in some "no-go" areas" because what you see might appear entirely normal on the surface. There are signs though, unmistakeable signs, but they don't mean you'd necessarily be in any great danger at most times of the day. But you'd be noticed. Don't ever doubt it. There's too much going on not to be careful of who's about and why.

Thracian Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 One thing's for sure, Trump would never run out of ammunition in England. Yes, sure, let's allow a few more thousands in. People who want to be of benefit for our kind, benevolent society and say "thanks" for our hospitality like this. What is it about Yorkshire? I know it happens elsewhere but it seems to be epidemic in that once-proud county and its supposedly proud Labour heartlands. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_Borough_of_Rotherham How do these people live with themselves and their attitudes? As I've said it doesn't seem to be ethnically English people voting Labour into council control. It's the mass vote of incomers and it's high time a new party representative of decent hard-working English people and incomers demonstrably supportive of our society was formed. I'm no prude. I love women and still do. But my life, let's have them treated with kindness and be rid of anyone who treats them disrespectfully or takes advantage of their youth or vulnerability. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-35061430
