Hollism Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 tbf london is pretty much the easiest place to get to from Liverpool on a train. get the big virgin one and it only takes ten minutes longer to get to London than it does to get to Birmingham, and they run earlier/later too. crazy I know. had sorta hoped chelsea at home would be one id book off work to get to actually use my season ticket but not now. Fair enough- didn't know that. Only been to Liverpool once and that was straight into Anfield and out again. Was hoping for the lunchtime Saturday slot myself selfishly for Chelsea. Monday is the worst possible one.

Being Liverpool based my easiest games to get to are Merseyside, greater Manchester, London and the west Midlands in that order. Crazy thing is getting to Blackburn or Burnley takes more time and hassle than London.
Footballwipe Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 To be fair we were really lucky not to have a MNF game last season. We have to be shown in each live TV slot in the current deal and the only reason we weren't was because a game was switched from the MNF to a Sunday afternoon game (something which can be done under the deal terms.) I think it was the Everton away game which was in the package which could've seen us on Monday night last season.
sly1 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Thanks a lot sky work committed again change shift again.up the city
Carl the Llama Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I don't want to jump to conclusions but I think the fixture changes may have upset Oz.
promised land Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Same for those coming from London. It is just about doable for a 7.45pm kick off, but impossible for an 8.00pm since the last train to London leaves before 10pm. Chelsea fans will not be pleased either I'm sure. They might charter a train back to London for their fans, last season they had a Thomas Cook train laid on for them after the game as it was a mid week kick off. I'd expect the same again. Leics station was crawling with stewards even asking home fans where they were heading, etc.
Spudulike Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Well that's totally screwed me. I work for a living. Waste of money buying a season ticket.
Hollism Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 I don't want to jump to conclusions but I think the fixture changes may have upset Oz. You can't blame him. Absolute sickener for the guy.
Carl the Llama Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 You can't blame him. Absolute sickener for the guy. No yeah, gutted for him, didn't mean that to sound callous.
jimmeh Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 It doesn't say anywhere on that list that man city v leicester is a tv game. I see leicester v man United and leicester v Chelsea but thats it
demon_dog Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Hopefully the Chelsea one won't affect me to much, am on holiday for the Man City game so ok for that one. Anyone any idea as to why we play Liverpool at home on Tuesday 2nd Feb and W.B.A on Tuesday 1st March. Seems strange.
sdb Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Man City change probably suits me to be honest. Might be OK to go now. Can sympathise massively though. Why never away games?

Soar Fox Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Uni means that the Chelsea game is impossible to make, **** you sky and Murdoch! Least you can watch it.... On sky.
tom27111 Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 For everyone bitching about how they can't make games, you know it's inevitable that some will be moved. It's also the main reason that we can break our transfer record and spend increasing amounts of money every season. If you don't like it, we could always head back to League One?

I'm sure that your understanding has made a lot of fans feel much better.
jimmeh Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 It's funny how people on here spend much of there life on here. With thousands of posts, and claim they can't make a rearranged game. How have they suddenly got a life
ozleicester Posted 8 October 2015 Posted 8 October 2015 Is it 12 each way? Nah, its 14000 total.... making a bit of a fuss really Im going to adjust a couple of things and should only miss Man city.... just adds another few hundred to the bill Edit 2 - Ok just for interests sake (and to waste time at work)... the distance from Perth to Manchester is 9089 miles each way. I will still get the Chelsea game, (will just have to pay for two lots of accommodation grrrrrr) and will definitely miss the Man City game. Where the fvck are the terrorists when Murdoch is fvking with the games, thats what i want to know?

4ever and ever Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 The Man City move is good for us. Gives us an extra days rest after boxing day at Liverpool and with the pace and intensity we play at that can only be a good thing. Chelsea on the monday night is a bit of a pisser but hey ho should still be a good night under the lights.
Bamba's Babes Posted 9 October 2015 Posted 9 October 2015 Must have the lowest percentage of away games moved for SKY in the history of SKY. Always home games!
