Danny Drinkwater = class

Just want to make an appreciation thread for the lad.

He's been playing out his skin this season, hope he keeps it up. Our cm options are ridiculous especially with James coming back.

Could see Danny wearing the captains armband one day. So underrated.

One of my favourite players. No nonsense midfielder who has flashes of brilliance. If he could just add a few more goals to his game then he'd be even better. When he does score they seem

to be screamers

Been outstanding so far and importantly seems to have found consistency. Also has the perfect foil in Kante. Nice to have King, Inler and James waiting in the wings too, and this has been a position of concern for a long time too!

Vardy and Mahrez (rightly so) have been getting a lot of attention and praise, but I was just thinking that Drinky really should be getting a lot more coming his way too. Perhaps an England cap should be dobbed out his way.

When we got promoted I emailed paddy power trying to get odds on him making England's Euro 16 squad. Looked like I was a fool last season but we're seeing the best of him again right now. Class act, can go far.

Took a year but he's stepped up and looks class. 3rd behind JV and RM in POYS so far.

Not it's not taken a year. It's taken an opportunity.

Pearson didn't give it to him. Ranieri has.

And he's taken it.

Superb once again today. He is producing the types of performances from the championship title winning season. Great on the ball and him & Kante link up well in the midfield from what I've seen.

He is brilliant.

But just to remind ourselves when we played Middlesbrough, first match of the season three years ago, there were some on here screaming about him being the worst player we'd ever signed (well, apart from Vardy).

Goes to show - players need time to develop - and fvck me, has he developed.

Found his left foot too, based on today. Different gravy, got bullied imo last season, this year he's taken his chance and as with our promotion season, is one of the first names on the team sheet. Hopefully he gets that first premiership goal soon that he thoroughly deserves!

Wel that's not true, Pearson had him in the team from the first game last season, he got injured in that game and struggled to get form back. He was terrible at times last season.

I don't think this has anything to do with the managers, he's made the step up himself and I'm delighted that he's back to being as important in our team as he was when we got promoted.

I think it's pretty much all to do with the managerial change, and the fact that Cambiasso has fooked off.

Drinkwater has taken his chance to play consistently, is clearly happy and has a great partner in Kante.

Makes all the difference.

Exactly. DD was stuck on the right side of the diamond most times he got a chance first half last season. Now he can try and dictate the play. Another who is thriving in the style we are playing.

Very clear to me mate.

Looks a lot happier as well, seems to be enjoying the football and although it doesn't mean all that much, he is applauding the fans a lot more now.
