foxes21 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Just want to make an appreciation thread for the lad. He's been playing out his skin this season, hope he keeps it up. Our cm options are ridiculous especially with James coming back. Could see Danny wearing the captains armband one day. So underrated.
foxfanazer Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 One of my favourite players. No nonsense midfielder who has flashes of brilliance. If he could just add a few more goals to his game then he'd be even better. When he does score they seem to be screamers
Salieri Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Been outstanding so far and importantly seems to have found consistency. Also has the perfect foil in Kante. Nice to have King, Inler and James waiting in the wings too, and this has been a position of concern for a long time too!
MIAMI_FOX Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Him and Kante (don't need to mention Vardy!!!) have been outstanding
Sir Shep Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Vardy and Mahrez (rightly so) have been getting a lot of attention and praise, but I was just thinking that Drinky really should be getting a lot more coming his way too. Perhaps an England cap should be dobbed out his way.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Man U dropped a bollock letting us have Drinky and James!!
Number 6 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 When we got promoted I emailed paddy power trying to get odds on him making England's Euro 16 squad. Looked like I was a fool last season but we're seeing the best of him again right now. Class act, can go far.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Was my favourite player the year we got promotion was so bitterly disappointed with him last year and was always clinging on to the hope he would step up and so it proves, great player can't wait for him to get a goal think he'll go mental.
sdb Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Took a year but he's stepped up and looks class. 3rd behind JV and RM in POYS so far.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Took a year but he's stepped up and looks class. 3rd behind JV and RM in POYS so far. Not it's not taken a year. It's taken an opportunity. Pearson didn't give it to him. Ranieri has. And he's taken it.
Bamba's Babes Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Orchestrated everything today. Cabayed Cabaye
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Superb once again today. He is producing the types of performances from the championship title winning season. Great on the ball and him & Kante link up well in the midfield from what I've seen.
LanguedocFox Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 He is brilliant. But just to remind ourselves when we played Middlesbrough, first match of the season three years ago, there were some on here screaming about him being the worst player we'd ever signed (well, apart from Vardy). Goes to show - players need time to develop - and fvck me, has he developed.
Lovejoy Posted 24 October 2015 Posted 24 October 2015 Found his left foot too, based on today. Different gravy, got bullied imo last season, this year he's taken his chance and as with our promotion season, is one of the first names on the team sheet. Hopefully he gets that first premiership goal soon that he thoroughly deserves!
Finchy Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Not it's not taken a year. It's taken an opportunity. Pearson didn't give it to him. Ranieri has. And he's taken it. Wel that's not true, Pearson had him in the team from the first game last season, he got injured in that game and struggled to get form back. He was terrible at times last season. I don't think this has anything to do with the managers, he's made the step up himself and I'm delighted that he's back to being as important in our team as he was when we got promoted.
Strokes Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 I didn't think he was as good today as he has been this season, he missed quite a few passes but he was still pretty good.

I think it's pretty much all to do with the managerial change, and the fact that Cambiasso has fooked off. Drinkwater has taken his chance to play consistently, is clearly happy and has a great partner in Kante. Makes all the difference.

DD was stuck on the right side of the diamond most times he got a chance first half last season. Now he can try and dictate the play. Another who is thriving in the style we are playing.

Corky Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 Looks a lot happier as well, seems to be enjoying the football and although it doesn't mean all that much, he is applauding the fans a lot more now.
LCFC FOX Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 I think he has an excellent long shot on him too. I think he could score a few from outside the box if he tried some
Richard Posted 25 October 2015 Posted 25 October 2015 If Delph, Shelvey and Alli can then so can Drinkwater
