thursday_next Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Does he have Tourette's? Looks to me as if he swears more than the whole of the rest of the team put together. Perhaps that's why he doesn't do interviews. They can't take the risk of him suddenly breaking out in eloquent profanity in front of the whole nation.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Cambiasso was brilliant for us last season that's why he won POS. End of story really in regards to him people can carry on with their agendas but the fact that he was a class act for us is pretty indisputable given a lot of his performances and end of season honours, our problem was a lack decent steady centre back pairing in a lot of games, we got pulled apart, now those with agendas will blame the midfield, but, again, this was made totally indisputably evident given that once we signed a fairly decent top level centre half and given him a while to settle in we went from league whipping boys to one of Europe's top in form sides. I'd argue we persisted with the use of Ulloa in the starting XI a bit too much because of a good goal scoring start myself, I'll hold my hands up and admit I didn't think Vardy would be the man for the job but it just goes to show if you set yourself up right your strikers can score goals in this league and Ulloa just didn't do it often enough bar the first couple of months and didn't contribute half as much to open play as pretty much all the other forwards at the club. Drinkwater has stepped up agreed and has been brilliant but he had chances last season and frequently looked shit, never one to slag him off to the extent some did on here I've always thought he should be retained by the club, still pretty young and still capable of growing as a top level but last season he was rightly kept out the team by a James and Camb as they were often two of the best players on the pitch for us even in defeat. He's got his chance, and he's taken it, aside from those who wanted him sold there are no I told you so's here. Just a player who always had the potential to kick on doing so after being handed an opportunity in a new season after with the two players who offered just as much as him last season are no longer available for selection.

Gerard Posted 26 October 2015 Posted 26 October 2015 Drinkwater looks every bit the player we thought Inler was going to be for us.
Sammy Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Yes I may be incredibly biased but I don't think there's an English CM that is playing anywhere near as good as he is at the moment. That said the chances of him being picked ahead of Carrick, Shelvey, Milner and Alli still feels unlikely.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 He's playing outstanding for us at the moment, and links up play really well. Him and Kante in a central midfield pairing have looked great so far this season.
ousefox Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I thought he was poor yesterday considering his recent performances. Love the guy though.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 Think either he or Albrighton could well get a call up for one of these friendlies.
LCFC FOX Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 If the friendlies were against more avagerage opposition then maybe. But against top sides I can't see it.
EnglishOxide Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 He's been good but he is still misplacing too many passes. Simple passes too.
Sammy Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I thought he was poor yesterday considering his recent performances. Love the guy though. only managed to see the highlights but his work for Vardy's goal was classy
Captain... Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 If the friendlies were against more avagerage opposition then maybe. But against top sides I can't see it. Also these friendlier are all about euro 2016 preparation, playing against two of the best teams in Europe. It is not for experimenting with fringe players. We will have some more friendlies next year, if Danny and Mark are still doing the biz then it may happen, but for now there is no chance.
VLC86 Posted 1 November 2015 Posted 1 November 2015 I thought he was poor yesterday considering his recent performances. Love the guy though. Agreed, had a shocker yesterday and still got an assist. Shows how far he has came.
MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I thought he was poor yesterday considering his recent performances. Love the guy though. He looked off the pace in the first half with more passes going astray than usually, but he did step up and made crucial contributions to change our fortunes in the second half.
NewquayFox Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 No place in the England squad along with Albrighton, Delph is injured and has hardly played and Alli & Dier are nowhere near DDs form so far this season. England will win nothing until they play the form players and play them in their best position, stop accommodating big time Charlie's from big name clubs and get the grafters in.... Up the City....
Jimmy Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 he won't get a look until next season at the earliest
Babylon Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Roy will play him in goal to prove he's good enough to play in the middle.
lgfualol Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 He'll be in the next squad when Roy calls up 12 centre midfielders to the team

England will win nothing until they play the form players and play them in their best position, stop accommodating big time Charlie's from big name clubs and get the grafters in.... Up the City.... Both have been playing very well, Spurs are currently on the longest unbeaten run in the league - I agree DD should be in the squad but the Tottenham midfield pairing (I think it's helped their cause that they play together) deserve it currently whereas Delph certainly doesn't and is evidence of the big club bias.
biggs Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Think Roy and England still look at Leicester as a relegation battling team with little quality
Stevosevic Posted 5 November 2015 Posted 5 November 2015 Think Roy and England still look at Leicester as a relegation battling team with little quality This. I think it will take a top half finish before we are taken more seriously by most.
deep blue Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Roy said that Dier merited a place because he had pushed himself ahead of quality players in the Spurs squad. Is he unaware that DD's performances for City are keeping out Inler, the Swiss captain who looked pure class against England?
Tuna Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Spurs players in recent England squads - Alli, Walker, Dier, Kane, Mason, Rose, Townsend. Imagine when Alex Pritchard makes his debut for Spurs? Straight in the England squad!
Wymsey Posted 6 November 2015 Posted 6 November 2015 Wish Leicester was based in London. Vardy would be in the middle, Drinkwater in and possibly Albrighton as well. The current England crop (apart from Sterling) are not very much better than these 3.
