StanSP Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/tom-lawrence-2929720.aspx Lawrence returns to us. Seems like Lambert is annoyed he has to come back. Can't see him playing for us this season - another loan deal?
CosbehFox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 If that one month loan thing suggests his agent wants a permo move.

ithuriel Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Keep him match fit and recall if we get injuries I suppose.
Thracian Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 He's certainly not the striker we need - two goals in 20-odd matches hardly suggest a natural sriker. I don't know about his potential impact as a number 10 but it seems Cardiff are interested in taking him on loan next. Whatever, it's a periphery situation some distance from our current needs which is for two proven, read-to-go goalscorers/goalmakers.
Molson Canadian Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 LAWRENCE RETURNS Blackburn midfielder Tom Lawrence has returned to Leicester City following his loan at Ewood Park. The Welshman had been at Rovers since August, and made 23 appearances.
Molson Canadian Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I think Don Claudio might have a look at him in training first before sending him off on loan again
TheMightySystem Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Been linked to Cardiff for the rest of the season I don't understand why we would send him back out on loan to a different club when we could have extended his at Blackburn, personally I think he has a role to play in these last 15 games. Being on the bench instead of dyer maybe?

Being on the bench instead of dyer maybe? His agent said something about his chances at Blackburn being limited now they've signed someone, and he's got his eyes on the Euros. I don't see why he'd want to return to us to sit on the bench, maybe Cardiff can offer him more game time

He can play as a number 10/ second striker as well can't he?
chicagofox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 The idea that Tom Lawrence could or should be involved in the first-team matchday squad for the remainder of this season is based on absolutely nothing. Nothing against the guy but he has done sod all to suggest they he is good enough or merits a place in the squad. And the guys who have been involved have done a pretty damn good job up to now.
whitlock Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 He is a Welshie so he might have preference to move to Cardiff on loan?

Apart from the fact that he has played very well for 2 seasons at championship clubs and his main competition is an out of form Dyer or an out of form Ulloa depending if you want to play him as a winger or second striker/number 10. It makes you laugh how on one thread people are criticising the club for not bringing through enough youth players considering how much they have spent on it but then when the club have an opportunity to give a player a chance in the first team people dont want to play them. If Dodoo who went on loan to a league 1 club can get game time in the premier league then why cant Lawrence who has had two good loan spells at championship clubs? No one is saying put him straight in the first team but we need to give him a chance or I can see him leaving for another prem team in the summer.

He hasn't shown anything like the form to get into our first team though. It sounds like he thought his chances would be limited at Blackburn too, so I don't know how he is going to get into a team at the top of the Premier League. The Championship is his level for now.

Captain... Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 DONE DEAL Cardiff City Posted at 12:05 Championship side Cardiff City have signed forward Tom Lawrence on loan from Leicester City, subject to international clearance. From BBC, good luck to him there, can't see him getting any chances here this season, time to impress in and for Wales and see where he's at in the summer.

lgfualol Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Make that 3. Brighton always seem to crumble once they get in and around the top 2... I was hoping they would get themselves promoted for a bit of variety, but they're pulling a Derby bottle. I'll be so disappointed if two of the teams to get promoted end up being Burnley and Hull.
TheMightySystem Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 From when I started watching at 30 minutes he has been very good, pushing forward in possession good dribbling and linking play. Doesn't mind defending too. Really hope he has a future at the club, all he needs to do is add more goals to his game but that will come with time.
TheMightySystem Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 What position do they have him playing? Right Mid/Wing
