Playoffs isn't promotion though. We'd need to extend our lead over third to 25 points in 14 games (currently 11), that's 1ppg better than Southampton over the next 14, very tall ask

Not impossible. I think Southampton may take 2nd now and then it depends on the form going forward of Leeds and Ipswich.

Not sure if it is true about their run being the longest in the world currently but saw this on Reddit

 

Southampton putting together than run of form and they still aren't better than us even in just that period

With todays win against Huddersfield, we now have the same amount of points that Watford managed in all of last season, they finished 11th.

 

Top 6 last season started at 69 points. 81 was technically enough to seal promotion.
