There was a stat after Celtic's last CL loss that Rodgers was the worst manager to have managed 20 or more games in the champions league.

 

To be fair to him it's impressive that a manager of his 'caliber' has even gotten to manage 20 games in the champions league.

For all the negativity the last week on here, we're on 46 points from 19. Reading were 44 points at the same point in 2005/06 and only went top on matchday 19. They started to pull away over the Christmas period.

We could go the whole season unbeaten and this forum would still find a way to be negative!

 

It's a brilliant achievement so far and now need to finish the job, plenty of room in the back for a bad patch which all sides will inevitably go through, especially with loads of games coming up

Last night Villa won their 14th home game in a row, equaling the club record. 

 

The last time they did it was 1931.

 

It was on October 24th 1931 that the run ended - Everton won 3-2 at Villa Park.

 

Also on that day another run started. Jimmy Dunne scored for Sheffield United in their win at Grimsby - and he would score in each of their next eleven games too. That set the all time record for the top flight. It was so nearly equaled in 2015 by Jamie Vardy.

Some more random club stats.

 

Jannik Vestergaard needs one more 'live' touch to reach 2000 for the season.

Patson Daka has touched the ball twice this season - neither touch was in the attacking third.

Of all players who have attempted 6 or more take-ons, the highest success rate (66.7%) is shared between Winks and Faes,  Ndidi is the worst with just 4 successful from 18 attempts (22.2%)

Per 90 minutes Mads carries the ball progressively 122.6 yards,  james justin carries the ball 119.9 yards.

Nacho has attempted 15 aerial duels, he has won just 3 - only yunus and praet have a worse %

Not sure where it’s from, but the calculations look pretty straight forward in using evidence to rank clubs by the metrics used to determine how big a club is. 
We’re pretty bloody big!!

Player quality seems to be about the only subjective variable - i mean, is it based on their OPTA ranking or their transfer value? - either way it's a bit vague.

To be honest just not using Ward has improved our defence.
