EnglishOxide Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Why do they need to advertise their club?
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Why do they need to advertise their club? Big club mentality I guess.
Cincinnati Fox Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 We Leicester city were top of the league! (Best team in England)
Kitchandro Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 I say leave it where it is. We have the Premier League to declare our presence to the world, why begrudge them a few metal poles and a sheet of paper? Because it's our fvcking area that's why.
Kitchandro Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Yeh let's put a Leicester one up in Derby and see how many of them put up with it. Nobody in Leicester has ever needed anyone to be our rivals, least of all now, but there's a principle here. In fact let's put a Forest advertisement up in Derby, they'd probably be delighted. They'll do anything for attention and nothing brings more attention to them than Forest.
Richard Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Champions league football is more than enough advertising for us. Derby piping up with advertising cos people forget they exist, constantly in our shadow ahahah
deejdeej Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 The Derby County agenda... 1- Let everyone know how much they hate Forest. 2- Win the infamous Brian Clough trophy. 3- Tell everyone how little they care about Leicester. 4- Pretend their atmosphere is second to none and they don't give tickets away. 5- Sing 'since I was young' over and over. 6- Get promoted.

Bottle promotion... again.
Rocket-Ron Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Can't be hard to turn the are into hate can it?
filbertstreet Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 bit surprising derby havent got a robbie savage trophy set up with us yet, what they playing at
Zear0 Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 Have the misfortune to work in that toilet of a city. Noticed at a work's do last night they were projecting the great Lee Grant onto the side of a Travelodge. Advertising in your own city is pretty desperate, maybe hoping people will actually pay to attend games I guess.
Guest bss9401 Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 This is so sad! Leicester City have been the top East Midlands club for over 20 years now. Obviously the sheep know this but have resorted to reminding passing motorists that there is actually another team in this region. This is narcissism usually reserved for the likes of notts forest and Newcastle.
Dynamogoon Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Just to balance it out. Their forum is full of praise for us. Willing us to set the mold for other such clubs to succeed. Guess there are pricks everywhere, but not all fans are the same.

KP Fox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Anyone else seen the sign between Lutterworth Junction 20 and Fosse Park Junction 21 on the M1? It reads "Welcome to the East Midlands. WE ARE DERBY!" With a picture of one of their second rate players!!! Shocking! We need someone local to rip it down!!!! We've don't need a sign! Everybody knows who we are!
Dynamogoon Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Derby fan in disguise?? Nah, just trying to balance out div posts like yours mate.
ajthefox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I was only messing mate.Probably could've done with a tbf
sylofox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Leave the sign up find out what farmer took payment for having it up. Then burn his house down
stripeyfox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I'm too old for this shit! Derby are a good club, as are Forest. I enjoy taking this piss out of my Forest and Derby friends as much as the next man but just because some tool has put up a banner, no need for people to get so uptight about it! Just had a look on the Derby forum - quite a lot of praise for us - I suppose they reserve their hatred for Forest. Btw watched the Forest documentary last night "I Believe In Miracles". Not the most entertaining sports film I've ever seen but a good story nonetheless. Although I will continue to take the piss about Forest fans consistently banging on about their European Cups, it was a pretty amazing achievement!
Lestoh Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-35166654 THEY'RE BACK! Same ad been put up at East Midlands Airport, taken down after complaints from City and Forest fans and they think they're being 'discriminated against' hahaha, go home
Len Finsbury Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 East Midlands airport is a farce. It's clearly in Leicestershire. I'm sure Liverpool would be delighted to have a Manchester Utd advert in their airport!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 Honestly, they've earned some respect from me. The amount of piss this has boiled is genuinely amazing
Staffs Fox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I saw one of these signs southbound on the M1 around Junction 25, Sad bastards
Bluetintedspecs Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I completely and genuinely don't give a rats ass. Too busy enjoying our season!
