Foxes_Trust Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 I (Ian) represented the Foxes Trust at the Concourse Redesign Meeting last night - can posters please stop posting catering comments in Leicester Lasses topic & keep that focused on the questions raised. The first half hour of last night was attended by the catering company, who now "receive little feedback", so we have opened direct dialogue with them. So we are happy to take feedback on catering by posting on this thread, but posts such as "they are slow, they don't care" will be ignored. If you have criticism (or praise) on service - then alongside your comment, for the feedback to be useful, the comment needs to include details of which game, which stand, ideally which kiosk (rough location within stand) and a key point, the approx. time of the issue. Being aware of this thread, please think about this at future games. All the tills are linked & record the amount of customers served, so the catering company is tracking information to improve service. Also on this thread, feel free to make suggestions of different food (or drink) you would like to see served, these could be fed back to the caterers for feasibility (not all foods are practical) and then maybe those that are feasible & initially appear popular could be pulled into a wider survey.
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 The quality is poor. Against man city L1 concourse at the Singha bar they were serving overcooked pies that had burst out of the top of the pie and dried out inside. There should have been a manager on site to ensure they are not selling such sub standard produce and binned the lot regardless of cost, if there was a manager then what were they doing.

Did you go back to the counter & complain, according to the manager last night, due to "hot spots" you can get the occasional sub-standard pie, but these would be replaced if a complaint is made, he would rather a complaint was directly made and replacement supplied, then the pie by thrown away by the fan.
NoFuchsGiven Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Must be said some of the food they sell really is dreadful
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Every pie in the oven was the same, plus the game had kicked off, and you don't get the impression that you'd get much help if you did take the pie back. I'll add I decided against having one, it was my friend who had one.
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 To be honest they looked that bad a complaint shouldn't have been needed, whoever was selling them could see they were no good and should have took action rather than just hoping to sell as many as they could.
Bayfox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Brings back good old fashioned Hoggies. Cob Pork Stuffing Crackling Sell for 2.50 a they did at filbert st. All other food is then obsolete. Problem solved. And no I am not taking the piss. Please pass this on. The last time they did what they called a hog roast. It cost me about 5.40 and was rubbish.
DB11 Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Considered moving all of the posts from the other thread that are relevant to catering into this thread, but it'd be easier to just rename that thread
Foxes_Trust Posted 8 January 2016 Author Posted 8 January 2016 Must be said some of the food they sell really is dreadful Can you follow Vlad's example, which is detailed so can be utilised as feedback Your post above cannot be used, you need to be specific about which food is dreadful
NoFuchsGiven Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Can you follow Vlad's example, which is detailed so can be utilised as feedback Your post above cannot be used, you need to be specific about which food is dreadful Yeah well personally i think a lot of it is sub standard as it is at most stadiums to be fair From my experience brought a hot dog at a game earlier this season and i only ate about a quarter and ended up just eating the bun
Foxes_Trust Posted 8 January 2016 Author Posted 8 January 2016 Considered moving all of the posts from the other thread that are relevant to catering into this thread, but it'd be easier to just rename that thread I did wonder about requesting that, but again its hard work for the person doing it, if posters want feedback giving to the caterers I'm sure they can re-post onto this thread, but I will go through the pages posted prior to setting up this topic & use any comments which are detailed enough to be useful to feedback
Stadt Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 You don't a specific example to know the queues need to be organised better, I supposes that's down to the club though rather than the caterers.
adam Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 The biggest problem is the staff are too slow to serve .Why is that being ignored? Why can't they have the pints ready before people order them?
CountesthorpeFox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Hi Ian, I don't know if this has been raised many a time, probably so and as the topic title is catering I can't even be certain that these bars are considered - anyway. I sit in sk4 so use the services in the south stand and the one in particular I am talking about are the small Singha bottle only bars. I would like to understand why they have removed the option to take the plastic bottle away with you and are now pouring the bottles into a cup that does not hold the full amount of the bottle (for the same price i think) and filling it right to the top, therefore making it impossible to move without spilling especially when you are buying more than one or two for your friends. so in summary 1) why can't we have the full beer in the plastic bottle as per last season? 2) why don't they have a cup that holds the same amount of beer as the bottle? 3) why don't they use a cup that is designed for the amount poured so people can actually walk around without spilling the beer everywhere? It's pretty poor and as a consumer of many alcoholic beverages over the last ten years as a season ticket holder I feel this season is by far, in terms of beer, the worst value for money. My suggestions - allow people to buy the bottle - if it is necessary to raise the price which I am an economist and a realist I understand they may need to do, then raise the price, don't give us less for the same price in a poorly thought out system. (Yes I realise Singha is nicer than carlsberg) Thanks
ozleicester Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Hi Ian, I bring a packed lunch Regards Prawn sandwich - Flask?
stripeyfox Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Hi Ian Good to know that there is a dialogue with them now. Who are "the catering company"? When does their contact end? If they are interested in getting feedback then maybe it would be a good idea for them to have some of their managers on the ground on a match day taking to their customers? This forum is great but it isn't really the right channel for the company to glean feedback. In a nutshell, the problem with the food is that it is not of sufficient quality. The hot dogs (£4) are barely edible. Dry bread roll, low quality sausage. Their manager should taste test one of " his" hotdogs with one sold from the mobile unit outside the South Stand. Same goes for burgers - not as good as the ones sold outside the stadium. Crisps, confectionary overpriced. So you can tell them this from me - if they are serious about listening to us, get their managers/supervisors down to the stadium wearing a tabard saying "catering manager" or similar and position themselves near the queues.
EnglishOxide Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Yeah, tell them stripeyfox from the internet would like a word with them.
Livid Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 £2.20 for adding boiling water to a plastic cup already containing a tea bag/coffee granules/hot chocolate/bovril is taking the michael somewhat. The margin and mark up must be astronomical.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 I once got served beer without a cup. In a bottle? A handful of beer or did they throw the pint over you? Definitely Hoggies. Bring them back immediately
