desertfox2 Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 The Chaos Factor is so right in just so many ways The lad seemingly has no idea what he's going to do, which is lethal with his pace and crossing. This. If he doesn't even seem to know what chance has any defender got. Still not sure of his position. He's not a left back, not a striker, maybe closest description is a left winger but he's just well a Schlupp..... chaos
waylander Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 You gotta love him but misses so many simple passes to put players in. But also I suppose that is the he chaos factor he he. And not frightened to have a crack too
Jimmy Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 that ball across the 6 yard box was begging to be tapped in, why no runner?
Weller in Tights Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 that ball across the 6 yard box was begging to be tapped in, why no runner? When I see a ball like that I always think 'Tony Cottee', he was the master of scoring at the near post.
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Scouse has gone quiet again after Schlupp's performance yesterday. I can only assume he's still dreaming of Cambiasso in that central midfield.
Babylon Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He was so calm in possession, great linking up and through balls. God I wish he'd do that more often! He played with his brain yesterday, when often he's just a battering ram to gain ground.
chicagofox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 You gotta love him but misses so many simple passes to put players in. I don't think that's true at all.

Guest Col city fan Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 STILL loving Cambiasso Col? I'm just kiddin Scouse and his perpetual put down of all things Schlupp..
HighPeakFox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I'd like to see a highlights reel of all Jeff's touches. I'm struggling to recall him doing anything bad.
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I'd like to see a highlights reel of all Jeff's touches. I'm struggling to recall him doing anything bad.The problem is, it's Jeff Schlupp...and we all know he can do silly things! But if you analyse yesterday's 45 or so minute shift, (say as a neutral) you'd be asking yourself surely, why he didn't start? His push past the full back and fizzed in cross was outrageous. The reason why no one was there on the end of it was because he was TOO quick (a little like Lloyd Dyer for this...sometimes his final ball was a killer one, but no one had caught up with him!) The reason why he can be so dangerous in any game, is because that little cameo was an example of something he can do that very very few players can. Albrighton, for all his superb final balls, could never have done that. It's about pace and power. He was going nowhere, stuck on the byline and then.....bang...in an instant he's gone. Not only that though. Yesterday he just kept the ball well.
Claridge Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He didn't start because away from home because you need someone reliable. Albrighton is very consistent and with Jeff your never 100% sure. Fantastic impact player i agree

He was going nowhere, stuck on the byline and then.....bang...in an instant he's gone.He did that many times at the end of last season on the right. Not necessarily with all pace and power, but don't think Albrighton isn't capable.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Great option to have coming back for the run in. Easy to forget that around December/January last year him and Mahrez were our two best players. If he can find that form again for the run in he'll add to what is already a team in fine form.
leicesterseddon Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I think Albrighton deserves to keep his place in the starting line-up, but I feel Schlupp will have a big part to play in the rest of the season. Especially at home against poorer sides, his pace and aggression will be massive assets.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He got on the ball yesterday and visibly slowed down, took a minute to settle and decided what he was going to do with it. If he's starting to develop his footballing brain, he could be a serious player.

Especially at home against poorer sides, his pace and aggression will be massive assets. This. Alan Nyom is a very tall and strong full back but yesterday Schlupp made even him look slow. Goes past players with such ease

Dan Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Thought he did very well when he came on again. He's upped his game since coming back from injury.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Thought he did very well when he came on again. He's Schlupped his game since coming back from injury

If he's starting to develop his footballing brain, he could be a serious player. I'm convinced that's been his undoing half of the time
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 nah not having that he still doesn't know what he's doing pretty sure TBH I don't care if he doesn't know what he's doing! it's what he ACHIEVES - and his impact on the games when he comes on. You'd have to be blind to not see that.
Len Finsbury Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I wouldn't change a thing. Albrighton to start, Jeff to come on when Albrighton's shift finishes and the full back is knackered.
C-man Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He got on the ball yesterday and visibly slowed down, took a minute to settle and decided what he was going to do with it. If he's starting to develop his footballing brain, he could be a serious player. Sure he's done this for ages. It's a deliberate ploy to stop the opposition full-back's momentum (pretty much to a standstill) because it's a fact over the first 5 yards no-one gets close to Schlupp's explosive pace.
