MPH Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Whilst I completely agree that safety was our no.1 priority this year, I wonder if Ranieri constantly talking about it in interviews is now having a negative effect. It just seems that the more sure we have been of staying up, the more the spark disappeared. We have definitely lost our mojo! It's almost as if the players are playing like they have achieved their goals and nothing more is required of them. Maybe some new legs will help get us going again?
MPH Posted 16 January 2016 Author Posted 16 January 2016 No. stupid question. Very constructive and helpful response. Thank you for your input.
UPinCarolina Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 No, he had one job and that was to secure safety. We are transitioning to a position no one saw - taking top 4 and possibly the league. I think we have been poverty level for a couple of weeks, but we aren't losing and the sky isn't falling...yet?!
shade Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 publicity has increased and the pressure has got to them, especially Mahrez and vardy. albrighton has looked awful since before Christmas as well.

Yes it was and should of been our priority, agree with that. But to talk about it so much... It just seems like Some of the players are playing as if the season is over.
Webbo Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 No. He's deflected pressure from the players. I don't believe for 1 minute that the players aren't bothered about winning any more.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 His tactics have been shite since Christmas. Predictable long balls for the whole game. We can't rely on Vardy to win us games on his own, let the flair players play their game and not suit Vardy's.
foxes21 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Talking about 40 points was the right thing to do
darko2k7 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 ahhhhhh let the over analysis begin . think ill avoid this place till Wednesday
sdb Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 No! We got there in extra quick time and now he's talking about the next target. Spot on. ...unlike some of his decisions today, which were below par for him.
UPinCarolina Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 No. He's deflected pressure from the players. I don't believe for 1 minute that the players aren't bothered about winning any more. I do fully expect that upon return to the KP that we utterly demolish Spurs and Stoke.
HankMarvin Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Sometimes it feels like watching Wimbledon of old, we seem to bypass the midfield so much. Whilst I understand the premise of counting attacking football and giving up possession against the so called bigger teams I find it frustrating when we play like that against Villa and Bournmouth. We also don't have the quality on the bench to be subbing Mahrez, he is always capable of finding an assist But top for now and even the good teams have off days
AyewJoking Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 when the dust settles its just a shít performance in what has generally been a disappointing last 5 games. im so angry right now though, looks like were going to win this league the hard way. at least its january and we can bring in some much needed quality.................

Don't hold your breath! We might be dancing with who we came with.
MPH Posted 16 January 2016 Author Posted 16 January 2016 Please stop panicking. No one is panicking. What's there to panick about. It was just a frustrating game to watch, that's all. We had some very lucky decisions go our way, and Aston Villa still made us look average. The worst villa side for years and we still couldn't beat them with our best team out.
Blue army boys Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Anyone would think we're mid table with nothing to play for..
Izzy Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 ahhhhhh let the over analysis begin . think ill avoid this place till Wednesday Yeah, I'm thinking the same. And just imagine what would be going on here if we'd lost today!
David Lowe Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 No. With the 2 penalties we would be 5 points clear. It has just been a case of a tough run of fixtures, a few things not quite going our way and perhaps a little tiredness. There is no sign of a lack of motivation since getting the 40 points.
