An Away Move Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 On paper he'd be brilliant for us I feel, BUT a player who was minded to come on loan to club that has every possibility of Champions League next season, in order to impress the new manager of a team that will not have Champion's League football says a lot about why this wouldn't have been right. Something in the mentality of Remy's thinking that doesn't fit with our squad ethic and ethos.

Something in the mentality of Remy's thinking that doesn't fit with our squad ethic and ethos. That says to me he's eager to prove a point - and doesn't that describe a lot of our squad. I'm not sold on him because of the newcastle/qpr saga which seemed a bit money over career, but wanting a temporary move to prove a point is hardly a negative mark against someone.

But can you imagine Roy Keane, or anyone with an old school winner's mentality wanting to leave a Champion's League club to go back to a club that hasn't qualified having proved he was good enough for their squad?! In purely footballing terms that would be mad!

If we qualify for the Champion's League, why on earth would he want to go back to Chelsea for footballing reasons seeing as they haven't a hope of qualifying this season?

You're talking as if being in the CL is the be all and end all - have you considered that maybe he enjoys it at chelsea and wants to show that he should be playing more regularly?

Bet they will probably are thinking it will upset our teams push for the title thinking that we couldn't sign anyone ! But who gives a flying fook about Chelski and their silly games they are flops this season Remy actually wanted out for a chance to play in the Euros which he would have had a chance if he came to us,so their pettiness has done nothing for us but has stopped Remy from playing football and then going onto the Euros a bit like the baggies with Berahinio !!
