Bob Weasel Fox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 if he scores 13 goals this season i'll be okay with it.If he scores 13 goals for us and we win the title I will kiss his ****ing Arse
(.) (.) Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Hope this isn't true. This, smacks of desperation to me. Why, would we want a Peterborough reject? Couldn't score at Palace let's pray its just paper talk. Darran Mcwhatshisname the Posh chairman loves him, as does Celebrity Posh fan Adrian Durham. Both are twats. Swerve.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 He's busy but erratic. Probably my least favorite of all the options mentioned today
Loggy88 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I really hope we don't buy Gayle, he's not a natural goal scorer at the top level. If Palace don't want him why should we? Hope this is just rubbish paper talk. Remy would be a lot better,
Finnegan Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If Stoke sign Andriy Yarmolenko and we get Dwight Gayle then I'm giving up on footy.
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 "Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle could leave the club before the transfer window closes. Swansea and Leicester City are reportedly keen to sign the 26-year-old, who has dropped down the pecking order at Selhurst Park since the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor. It is understood that at this late stage, there is only a small chance a deal will be struck - but it is a deal that could happen. "Meanwhile, contrary to some reports Palace are not planning a move for Hull City midfielder Mo Diame, but the Eagles are considering a last-minute move for an unnamed player." BBC
AKCJ Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If Stoke sign Andriy Yarmolenko and we get Dwight Gayle then I'm giving up on footy. Love how Stoke have got players like Bojan, Affelay, Arnoutovic, Shaqiri and possibly Yarmolenko to try and set up goals for Walters and Crouch.

BBC Weird buying a player who doesn't have a name. In other thoughts, it would be good to buy Gayle on the basis that Adebayor is 50:50 to be brilliant:implode so taking away their other options adds to the fun!

Captain... Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Gayle strikes me as more of a Leicester player than Remy, hard working something to prove, not going to be billy big bollocks and most importantly has pace. He would be a credible back up to Vardy, should Vardy get injured in that we wouldn't have to change our style of play, he isn't as good as Vardy but I think he would thrive in that role should we end up with him in the squad. I wouldn't be upset if we ended up with him, but he does seem massively overpriced, but this is transfer deadline day.
BirminghamFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 panic buy! Move on, Kram as good as this guy.... if we are serious about the Champions League, go and spend over 20 million on a striker!
kingcarr21 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 panic buy! Move on, Kram as good as this guy.... if we are serious about the Champions League, go and spend over 20 million on a striker! Yes because spending over £20m automatically means champions league football.
Alf Bentley Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Weird buying a player who doesn't have a name. Could be a lethal finisher.... As for Gayle, there might be better options but we'd be a lot better off signing Gayle than no striker. Otherwise, we'd just have Vardy, Okazaki & Ulloa as front-line options and would be vulnerable to injuries, suspensions and loss of form. We need to gamble on an extra front man, even if he mainly ends up on the bench. Mahrez plays better coming in from the wing than in the hole. Schlupp is a decent attacking wide midfielder at this level, but not a Premier League striker.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Gayle is utter poo, regardless of reasons offered in this thread he's not a good player who will add very little and I'd be very disappointed if we got him

Grey Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Please everyone stop posting in this thread. Every time I see it go to the top of the list my heart stops temporarily.
Koke Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If Stoke sign Andriy Yarmolenko and we get Dwight Gayle then I'm giving up on footy. I thought Arsenal were about to sign him for £23m. Gayle might work in a 4-4-2.
thybluefox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Does he improve the squad? No. I'll happily be proved wrong on this one, but I'll be disappointed if this is who we end up with after the circus we've endured in this window.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Please everyone stop posting in this thread. Every time I see it go to the top of the list my heart stops temporarily. Really?

No. I'll happily be proved wrong on this one, but I'll be disappointed if this is who we end up with after the circus we've endured in this window. Loic Remy will improve our squad but many on here are turning their noses up at him. Palace fans say Gayle will work well in a 4-4-2. He looks lost when playing one up top.
LCFC hub Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Got a funny feeling this is who we'll end up with. Definitely seems we don't want to over pay with Musa transfer fee and then Remys wages
queensguardfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 If he can knock in 6-8 goals before the end of the season I would be happy.
Grey Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Really? Nah, only joking matey. I'll back whoever the club sign. Just wouldn't have seen this one coming that's all.
