ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 So, we've played 23 games so far using vardy, ulloa, okazaki and kramaric. In those 23 games kramaric has played about 30 minutes, and this is the player we're on about replacing. We only have 15 games left and being out the cups means no real congestion of fixtures. The obvious point is what happens if we get an injury? We have a recall option on kramaric, and schlupp is back soon and both he and mahrez can operate in forward positions. Personally I'd love to see a exciting forward come in but it has to be the right one, improve on what we have and fit in to the ethos of the squad.so what I'm getting at is it wouldn't be a disaster if nobody came in.
filbertstreet Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 No Kramaric and he's not coming back, Okazaki may be injured, if Ulloa or Vardy take a knock we're buggered - Schlupp is still out for another month
theessexfox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I don´t think those are realistic options if we get an injury.

We don't need one. But we should take advantage of our newly found notoriety, and attract good players. Also, if we had used this window properly, we could have bolstered sufficiently to win the title. A chance which won't come around again. That's the disappointment for me.
sylofox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Karma would have to be recalled before the window shuts to be able to play for us.
Kitchandro Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Yes, we need another striker. Next question.
lgfualol Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Yes. Vardy injury we have 6 goals between them Okazaki and Ulloa. One more injury to one of them and we ****ed unless someone steps up from our academy or moves position.
Max Power Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 We have three players for two spots. Injuries happen. We need another body
The Doctor Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Schlupp is hardly a striker - he may have come through the ranks as one but he's well and truly a winger these days, nor would you want to take Mahrez off the wing where he's been so effective this season. Kramaric won't be coming back, leaving us with 3 senior strikers, one injury and we've got nothing in reserve. Of course we need another striker.
Buzzell Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 In the position we are in at this moment in time it would be daft not to sign another striker. Obviously has to suit the style and play of the current group. We will probably never be in this position again for a long, long time.
smudger63 Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Yes, and we should be looking to get one that is better than Ulloa and Okazaki.
Thracian Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 We need two goalscorers. one a specialist striker and the other more versatile and equally at home out wide, or coming from deeper, as in the centre.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Why turn down a chance to improve the team? Stand still and you'll fall behind.
Ric Flair Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 It would be an annoyance if we don't get one but it might not actually make much difference in terms of gathering points. Everyone is revved up though for a new signing and if we don't get anyone there'll be hysteria.
NORFOLK FOX Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 We are after Dwight Gayle now according to sky sports
Foxy_jim Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 "do we need another striker" er yes, yes we do. Close thread.
Fuch Me Moore Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Yes. Not only for the fresh face and goal scorer but also to give our other strikers a 'kick up the arse' that their place could be under threat.
GaelicFox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Do we need another thread on a striker ? Mental
SheppyFox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 We are after Dwight Gayle now according to sky sportsWhat an anti climax..
Giggsy77 Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 Only Leicester could go from bidding for Musa, Eder, and Niang, to Dwight bloody Gayle. Seriously, we have a chance of winning the title and this is the best we can do?. We may as well of kept Kramaric with us. Anyway, hopefully its just paper talk and we will sign a striker that shows we are serious about a title challenge.
Fuch Me Moore Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 People moaning about gayle are typical of the modern game. Because he's not a foreign name from a foreign club for a lot of money makes him no good. When he was on form at palace he was a great player. If the club believe Gayle is our man, he's our man!!
ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 31 January 2016 Author Posted 31 January 2016 "do we need another striker" er yes, yes we do. Close thread. Ok so we're doomed if we don't get one to replace the guy who's played 30 minutes this season ha ha. Like I said it wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't sign anyone. Me personally would have loved to sign Charlie Austin, an improvement on ulloa and would fit in at the club, but that ship has sailed. Jon Walters would be a great buy but won't be available. Interesting couple of days coming up!
