The book - "THE UNBELIEVABLES" - it's happening

Recommended Posts

Just finished it mate. Really enjoyed it. Have you done anything like this before?

I think the real pleasure in this book is not to be had right now, but maybe dusting it down (or re downloading it) in ten or twenty years time and reading all about the mighty boys of 2016.

Totally agree. I had to get the book out relatively quickly but the idea of rush-releasing it to maximise sales is totally at odds with the best time to read about last season, which isn't straight after it finished.

I haven't written a book before if that's what you mean! I've done lots of writing on LCFC in the past in various different places. The stars aligned for this to happen at this point in time though.

David how about asking unionfs lads to see if they can do a tifo of the front cover assuming dave (illustrator) is good with this. Imagine the kop with the beautiful pic of wes kissing prem trophy. The words the unbelievables along the front of the kop.

As for other promo. I think social media is defo the way to go. All the people around the world interested in the leicester story. Been pushing the book for you on twitter etc. Not been to the king Richard museum yet as i am in herts and not in city but given the special exhibition on city could you get the wes pic and books displayed/sold there?

The tifo idea sounds amazing in theory but can't help thinking the concept is at odds with what Union FS are about. It would essentially be promoting a product for financial gain.

I have sent a copy to the New Walk Museum who said they would add it to their collection. I haven't had a chance to go to see it yet but it might already be on display.

Guest CityFan 06

Just finished the Palace (H) chapter. Beautifully described throughout so far.

Fez, I'd like to read any future books you may release.

Just read WBA away. That away day stands out every year for me and the past 2 seasons we've came away with the same result. Always been a top day, especially this year when I first met some city fans who are now my great football friends ;)

Also, Happy Birthday Fez!

Happy with your bit mate?

Cheers mate, very, very happy.... we are honoured to be included. The lettuce sandwiches in Runcorn are a continuing source of laughter for us. and the whole visit being relived through the book is pure joy :)

Thanks.

The Guardian are giving away copies every day this week for the best letter in to The Fiver, although the one today had a bizarre error in it which gave me a very different name...

Your weekend name maybe, Emma?

Also, for anyone with some aggressively negative comments on current goings on at the club just needs to read this book to remind them what an incredible season we had and that we shouldn't forget that just because some players or staff leave. We now have the chance to enjoy the next season and whatever will happen, 2015/2016 was epic!
