I've changed my mind. I don't want a Benfica or Leverkusen, I want a Bayern or Real. There is no way we are going to progress over 2 legs against anyone, with the way we have played all season, and I would much prefer to have a huge glamour tie against the likes of Ronaldo and Bale, than get embarrassed by a Benfica. Bring it on!

Some Arsenal fans have returned (season) tickets for the return leg against Bayern München.

Large parts of several blocks are expected to remain empty.

Just as you think they couldn't sink any lower... Pathetic. Instead of supporting their team, these people once again prove they're simply in it for the fame and prestige, not willing to take the rough with the smooth.

Or in Arsenal's case.. The rough with the slightly less rough.

Your point is very valid, but I can guarantee it would have been refund claims all round if we had been hammered in Seville.

Maybe, but in Arsenal's case it doesn't come as much as a surprise, it's been boiling underneath for a while. The way these "fans" present themselves to the outside world says it all.

Absolutely, seem like horrible individuals! I do know a few Arsenal fans though and they're certainly not in the league of the lads you see on twitter/AFTV.

If we'd been battered in Seville and still had Ranieri, loads wouldn't go.

I've never agreed with this go at all costs shit.

Think about it for a moment, giving up your money to go and cheer a bunch of over paid, under performing shit? Because, why?

Because you've been successfully brainwashed in to thinking its loyal, that's why.

If football stops entertaining me, I'm gone. Sorry. My life is short, I'm not wasting it.

This! Especially when it's not like you will miss the match itself, just all the rigmarole that comes with it.

We had been battered in Porto, and the King Power was subsequently still crammed - with Ranieri in charge. I can see where you're coming from, but stadium capacity also comes into play.

And I don't consider our fans as fickle as the ones at Arsenal, not after all we've gone through in such a short period of time.

But the next game after Porto wasn't a dead rubber, it was a league game that still mattered.

Arsenal Bayern is a dead rubber, they're not going through, the tie is over, the team are playing shit, their millionaire footballers are flouncing off, their manager is losing the plot and knowing Arsenal, the tickets are probably ninety odd quid.

**** that. Everyone loves bashing Arsenal fans and when it comes to some spotty little twelve year old from Wolverhampton that's never seen a live game of football then I agree.

But Arsenal season ticket holders, their actual normal fans, they do have my sympathy and if I was in their position there's absolutely no way I'd go to the home leg.

I know it's unfashionable to sympathise with the big clubs but I do feel sorry for Arsenal fans. Wenger has one characteristic that Ranieri also has that I disliked. Both act very nonchalantly in times of crisis. Wenger is very dismissive about fans concerns. It's almost like he thinks they should be grateful he is still at the club.

anyone watching Napoli vs Real Madrid? Is it me or is the match on a bit of a delay compared to the commentary??

I've just switched it on. I watched the first leg as well, was a great game. This looks like its had the perfect start too, shame I missed the goal.

Can't tell on the sound yet but BT have had that problem before.

Arsenal 1-0. Comeback on! (it's not gonna happen, I know).

They'll win 3-0. Typical Arsenal. They did the same a few years back v Milan, battered them in the second leg and finished a goal short. Brilliantly tragic at times.

I feel like watching Gomorrah has given me a new found appreciation for the mental atmosphere in the San Paolo.

the atmosphere after the goal. unreal. just something else and I'd love to be in the middle of it. And when Ronaldo hit the post with the goal wide open.

Great entertainment on the telly tonight, so much excitement. What drama if both Napoli and Arsenal were to overcome their first leg defeats...
