AKCJ Posted 23 November 2016 Posted 23 November 2016 If Cavani could finish then he'd have scored about 18 goals against Arsenal in the two games against them.

Finnegan Posted 23 November 2016 Author Posted 23 November 2016 Class from Rostov. Reminded me of us last year. Shame it means we can now get Bayern mind!!

Following Bayern in Germany as my team to support I have watched a lot of their games in the past few years. At the minute I would fancy us against them and would not see it as a bad draw. However, it is 3 months until the games and by then Bayern could get rolling (post winter break). As has been discussed in German media and here I believe, Ancelotti tends to be a late starter and his teams tend to come good nearer the end of the season.
BigWesMorgan Posted 27 November 2016 Posted 27 November 2016 Generally think if we were competing in the Champions League last year then we could have won it

Not favourites of course but in with a chance. Man City got to the semis, going out with about the limpest performance you could imagine in a tie of that magnitude, all they needed was one away goal at the Bernabeu. Had we been in that situation I'd have backed us to score.
Fox92 Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 Phil Foden, 16 years old (May 2000, Stockport), wearing number 80, is on Manchester City's bench tonight.
Wymsey Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 Good game at The Etihad despite it being a dead-rubber one. Yaya Toure possibly set to play a bit on Saturday as he's not in squad. Normally dangerous against us.

Have you not been following the Yaya news with him not playing and his agent spouting shit all while Pep tried to make a power statement? He's not the their champions league squad and made his first league appearance a few weeks ago. And since Fernandinho is suspended he'll probably play.
MC Prussian Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 FC Basel falling apart against Arsenal. 15 minutes played and it's already 2-0 to the visitors.
StanSP Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 Arsenal could finish top of their group if it stays like this as PSG are losing. Messi 1 goal away now from equalling Ronaldo's record (11) of most goals in a group stage.
NewEnglandFox Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 PSG finishing 2nd might be a blessing in disguise for us rather than Arsenal giving us one less team to draw against.

StanSP Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 Corruption in Ukraine. Terrible decision against Besiktas. Looked a free-kick and foul on Besiktas defender. Ref gives a penalty and send the defender off .
MC Prussian Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 6 minutes ago, NewEnglandFox said: PSG finishing 2nd might be a blessing in disguise for us rather than Arsenal giving us one less team to draw against. Can't be drawn against an English team in the first round of the knockout stages, anyway. And I might add drawing PSG in the next round would be quite the challenge.
NewEnglandFox Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 Would you rather run into 1 of 5 out of Bayern, Real Madrid(most likely)/dortmund), Benfica/Napoli, Leverkusen, and Sevilla(Most likely)/Juve or 1 of 6 with PSG added as well. This is about diluting our chances of running into Bayern or Real and a lesser extent Sevilla. I think all 3 of those options are scarier than PSG. Paris are a big name, but they haven't been as good this year with struggling to fit into a new system while also 3 points off a 3 way title race in france. They'll likely have distractions come February. Leverkusen and Benfica/Napoli will be there regardless. WIth PSG diluting the group, I think we have a 50% chance of a decent draw as opposed to the 40%.
Nalis Posted 6 December 2016 Posted 6 December 2016 Ok so as it stands for us its either Benfica, Bayern Munich, PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla/Lyon or Real Madrid/Dortmund. Hoping PSG come back in their game, if we got knocked out by them it would be such an anti climax.
